Another freedom is about to hit the pooper as a result of illegal immigration and it's devasting effects on our society and culture.
Clearly in this scenario, and in my mind as it should be, in the USA of yesteryear, teachers would teach cultural diversity by honoring different cultures either daily, weekly or monthly, whatever. Good tactic to allow all Americans to embrace multiculturalism and ethnic diversity. This is what it should be and what the framers of the constituion had in mind, I would imagine.
Enter the illegal iimmigrant population (mostly from Mexico) who were not sworn to alegiance of America, did not agree to learn English and cetainly show no evidence of being law abiding citizens. So now, this sort of subtle parent pressured (or could La Raza or MECHA be involved?) un thoughtful teachers into doing a Mexican pledge of allegiance to Mexico to "show the kinds how". An act just over the edge of what should be the allowable case.
Bad because it was done as American has not been vigilant about protecting what we hold so dear here ...our Freedoms.
Good because someone down that a way, jumped up and screamed ENOUGH! This is wrong and over the line. Stop it and get back to reason and propriety. That's what Democracy and American should be about and how we should do things. We need to protect ourselves by demanding propriety and not allowing illegality.
I certainly hope that a legal action would be directed at that school and this situation to send a clear message to parents, teachers and administrators, about what America can/should and will allow and what it WILL NOT ALLOW!
Let us be clear about who and what we are. Where we stand.

That line in the sand over there is our border ...don't cross it without our permission.

The school board should not have allowed those people on the stage, or around the children. If they want to pledge their allegiance to the mexican flag, then they can move to mexico. If you say any pledge to any flag while standing on American soil, it better d.amn well be the flag of the United States of America. I can't wait for a protest to the illegals in my state, I will burn as many mexican flags as I can find to show them what I think of them being in my country. They like to burn and desecrate ours by writing on it or hanging it upside down, then they better do it in their country, not ours. The pledge of allegiance should only be said to the American flag. The national anthem should only be in ENGLISH, NEVER in spanish.

No US school should play host to this. Call the governor on this one, send the ICE with a bus, and make it clear that they're in the United States, and if they don't like it, well that's too bad, if they pledge allegiance to another country not the United States, then they need to go to that country to which they hold allegiance and have done with this. Not one penny of US tax revenue to pay for this stupidity anymore, that's my view.

People need to get their priorities straight, or change their address. There's no reason on god's green earth that Mexico can't have lucrative business(legal ones) that support their people, this 'live off the United States and build ourselves a little nest' business needs to stop...

Support the US Border Patrol! Give away US flags to everyone you meet! And maps! LOL

I have not seen this, and I can see why parents would be upset.
Heck I would be upset and calling for this principals resignation. I don't care if it was for a culture day/ assembly. You do not have US citizens say the pledge of allegiance to a foreign flag!! There are other ways to teach about culture!! ugh The nerve of these people trying to slip in their agendas under the guise of "teaching culture" !!

if it is true it's just plain wrong and unacceptable. but when stories like this are used by the minuteman organization to raise awareness of certain issues it makes it very difficult to believe. On the other hand there many school districts having problems with their curriculum and how they actually perform their teaching duties. I am in no way trashing teachers but the system that I believe issues ridiculous policies for them to follow. it was not clearly stated that this was actually done by the kids / students but instead by some parents, but either way it is still wrong. News organization do tend to sensationalize certain stories for readership or viewership purposes.

Yes, it was on MSNBC today. Will it even end? It sure doesn't seem like it.

And NO the minutemen are not racist pigs like many on here said. They are ONLY doing what our govt. will not do--defend our borders from unlawful invasion on the basis of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Well I have a suggestion for them. Why don't they go to Mexico then. We really don't need them because the likely hood of the doing anything truely POSITIVE for America is slim to none.

I saw that the other day...

It was a big mistake.

At least the principal appologized and learned his lesson.

Worse things happen in our schools and in our streets every day.

The man appologized...

and most importantly no one was permanently injured.

The guy should have thought about what exactly he was doing...

but its a little dumb when people say things about how others should "get out of america" over this.

i am so ashamed.
