I was at a boy scout meeting where boys of different ethnic backgrounds were forced to say the Pledge of Allegiance. With justice and freedom for all? Isn't this a hypocrisy? Where is the justice? Where is the freedom? Unwanted children. Maybe they should blame their parents for crossing illegaly into the US? What do you think?

Carlos, how did you know any of these boys were illegal or had illegal parents/relatives? I mean did you know them? Anyway scouting is an international movement. Boy Scouts in Norway salute their flag, Boy Scouts in England sing God Save the Queen. Big Flaming Hairy Deal. I was a Girl Scout and pledge allegiance all the time and everyday in Catholic school where I also prayed much and I have now turned into an atheist with a very critical eye towards the current administration.
If one of these little boy scouts looks around and sees that people in authority are talking the talk but not walking the walk...well he will just be another in a long line of Americans who shake things up around here.

If you are serious about obtaining citizenship here, yes, it should not be a matter of "force" needed to say the Pledge. There is freedom for all. Is anyone there trying to arrest you and return you for being an illegal? If the children were so unwanted, why were they being allowed in the Boy Scout meeting anyway? If anyone is a hypocrite is you for thinking that illegals don't have to follow the rules and recognize the practices of this country

The Pledge of Allegiance is said to pledge your allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. "And to the republic for which it stands". It is not a binding pledge, but rather a public statement of allegiance and respect for this country.

Freedom and justice for all applies to those who uphold and obey the laws of this country. Being here illegally automatically means that you have already broken one or more of those laws. Why would you expect to be exempt from prosecution for breaking the law?

and note to Aubrey: "In God We Trust" is on the money - the pledge states "One Nation Under God, Indivisible"

They should be forced out of the country and sent back to where ever it is that they came from, even if they were born here by illegals. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY and there SHOULD NOT be any person here that does not belong here as a legal citizen.
If they are here and seeking citizenship then they had better speak English and not promote diverse cultures to our own.
If you wish to be AMERICAN then act like one.
That includes Pledging Allegiance to our Flag and speaking English as the primary language.

I do not think so, I think they should be FORCED to cross the border back into their own country again or face the electric chair. No one in America can be legally forced to say the pledge of allegiance, as it should be.

The U.S. does have a legal requirement that all those seeking citizenship in the U.S. must give allegiance to only the U.S. This is part of the citizenship requirements.

Whether they say the pledge itself is not the issue. If they hold allegiance to any other country, they legally can not be granted citizenship.

As sad as it is, the sins of the parents are visited on the children. This happens in ever strata of life.

No, illegals should not participate in the Pledge of Allegiance, but they also should not be here. This should not even be up for discussion.

Again, deportation...it is not only possible, it is critical.

By the way, "unwanted children"? What's that about? If these are unwanted they should be made available to families who would want them....again, poor children whose parents are not stepping up to the plate....are these anchor children? How sad....
