I'm a white American who's ancestors immigrated primarily from Germany/Prussia in the early 19th century. I often wonder what it would be like to live in Germany today.

The wages in Mexico are so low, so to them the American minimum wage is a huge blessing. It's really the corrupt Mexican government's fault that there are illegal immigrants from Mexico, for not creating decent jobs there....not to mention the greedy American businesses who hire illegals for peanuts and cheap labor, and then those sneaky Republican politicians who use "race" and immigration as an issue to get certain racist voters to vote for them, but then when they get elected they care for no one but the greedy American businesses who keep on hiring illegals... and it becomes a vicious, never ending cycle.

Check this website www.immigrationvoice.org. It takes 6-8 yrs to get a green card for a person on a visa. He/She cannot change employers, cannot get promoted etc etc.. So His/Her employer can take advantage of him. Driver's license issues what not.. People are talking about approx more than 12 million illegals. How about 500K of people who have been paying taxes, contributing to FICA & Medicare for 4 to 5 years now? Most of them paid out of state tuition to get higher education. What say? I wanna know how much percentage of general public is aware of this.

immigrate - to come into a new country, region, or environment.

Even if your ancestors were immigrants, If you are born in America you did not immigrate. You are not an immigrant.

I know that the UK has a paralell issue. I believe the illegals are really arrogant in thier mentality. There is a lot of pro-illegal propoganda saying Americans are lazy and illegas are great hard-working people that basically carry this country. I am getting pretty tired of it over here. They will call white Americans racist for being against amnesty. It's out of control. They they do the jobs for below minimum wage (ilegally) so obviously the crook employer is going to hire them over the citizen. It has nothing to do with being a better worker.

Ok im not an illegal immigrant. Im an australian in USA and have been waiting for a letter from immigration for the past year. I cant work unless i get that letter. I was told by the army to write a really patriotic letter to congress saying how I want to join the army here and fight for this country etc. I need people who have really good imaginative writing skills. - Again the theme to join the army here , and want to speed things up.

I keep seeing people say illegals do the jobs Americans don't want. Obviously someone who has their MD, PhD, BS, etc isn't going waste their education by picking lettuce. But I think the millions of citizens living in poverty could use the jobs illegals steal. Don't you?

I lost my passport, green card and birth certificate all together, Basically I dont have any ID, I applied for citizenship so I wont get my green card again since they even have a ceremony where you cut it when you become citizen but, I need to get a state ID because Im getting married I jus dont know if they'll give it to me since I only have my Social security card and a police report

Are the poor and humble undocumented Immigrants guilty for the failure of the unfair Immigratio laws?

The USA is a country made and forged by mmigrants. Laws had changed according to the times and circunstances;
slavery was abolished, and civil rights were won, but one of the American most preciosus values is freedom. Freedom of speech, freedom of belief, freedom of thought, freedom of body, soul, mind and spirit. Whatt part of unskilled labor do you not undersstand. There is no learning curve for dishwashing! All the skilled jobs you do like construction..some stupid American has to train you to do......So who didn't know how to do it? What is one job the illegals can do better than Americans?...I'm listening with two ears in two languages. Every American needs to commit just ONE day to going down to the border, and help build the wall. If even only a third of the country did that, we could have that wall built in a week. The minutemen are already doing it, but they can't do it all by themselves. You don't need any special skills to help. They need people to just bring stuff to them, or pour concrete, or dig. What they need you to do can be taught to you in five minutes. So if you can't go down there, please donate to the minutemen so that they can do it for you. And illegals can't help, we want the wall to actually work, not a wall that has secret holes in it so you can sneak your friends over.
