Well if you mean Mexican illegal immigrants, then no. No illegal alien has that right. But it has nothing to do with the level of unemployment.
It is simply unfair for ANY illegal aliens from any country, to unlawfully do ANYTHING in the US, including eating, working or breathing ... w/out standing in line and earning their citizenship first.

You are looking at this question hindside to. The reasons Mexicans act as though they deserve a job in the US is that they are so readily hired. The question of whether there was unemployment already is a non sequitar, as there is always some unemployment. Some people simply don't want to work. It's much easier to go on welfare than hold down a job.
But if the US truly wanted to solve the problem of illegal immigration, they would penalize the people who hire them, as that is only encouraging others to come. If no one would hire them, the US would no longer be a desirable destination.
But, as Mexicans provide a source of cheap and willing labor, especially for jobs US citizens don't want to do, the problem is likely to remain.

Hmm...If folks are here illegally, they shouldn't be given jobs. People say that they're doing the jobs that American's won't do...but in actuality, these jobs WOULD be filled if Americans were compensated for it. Take garbage men, for instance. We're not all striving to be garbage men our whole lives (most of us anyway...), but they're paid extremely well. So people will accept that job. If the monetary incentive is there, Americans WILL do the job. It may not be fun, but it will get done.
BUT if people are here illegally and are undercutting what would be considered living wages in most areas, OF COURSE the employer is going to save all kinds of money (not having to pay the wages it would be worth, not to mention saving all kinds of cash since they don't have to pay benefits) and pay the people who will do it for the least amount of money.
Newsflash, people--this isn't helping anyone except the rich people who are hiring the illegals, and the illegals themselves. It's not helping Americans economically. It's actually making the gap between the wealthy and the poor even wider. Poorer people who are here legally aren't able to get a decent paying job because an illegal immigrant is taking less than it's worth (tax-free, I should mention. This is why they are able to live off of such meager wages--they don't have to pay the taxes the rest of us do) to do that job.
If someone has gone through the process of coming to this country legally, having waited his turn, then by all means, they should be able to apply for any job, and GET IT, so long as they're qualified. Why should someone be rewarded for BREAKING THE LAW by coming here illegally (and keep in mind, as a direct result of all the illegals coming here, people who are trying to do so lawfully, for legitimate reasons, are being turned away) when all it's doing is bringing down an already suffering economy?

Well,I keep answering these questions, and I guess it's my own fault that I'm bothered...I choose what I read right? Anyhoo! NO I'm not Mexican, I am Cuban and am a legal US citizen...but I completely disagree w/everyone's negative opinions on "Mexicans". They come to this country for opportunity, just like my family and I did when we left Cuba. Have you seen the living conditions people deal with in Mexico? Have you seen the cost of living, and how much the average worker makes? Highly doubt you have, because if you have then you prolly wouldn't make such ridiculous assumptions. This is the land of opportunity is it not? Didn't the US open it's doors to those searching for a better life? So now that the "illegals" are over populating we suddenly chose to judge them? When they come here, they take the jobs us AMAZING Americans don't want. The jobs with severe low pay, and very hard manual labor. I think we've got our heads so far up our own as*ses (us meaning Americans in general) that we want these ppl out of here for no reason other than to prove we are in fact superior and they don't deserve the riches we got.

This is to dolphinlover, you know absolutely nothing about history do you,how old are you about 15,The Mexicans were defeated in a war,the land became the spoils of war as happens when one side wins,It was a hard fought war and both sides lost men.but the US prevailed. We also paid the Mexican government $ 15 million cash and assumed debts that Mexico owed for another $ 3,250 million. So NO ONE STOLE the land.It belongs to the USA
and it shall always belong to this country. Before you say anything you should research your facts .
The only thing illegals are entitled to is a free trip back to their home country
NO amnesty
Vote in NOvember
Again sales taxes are not income taxes and they are not enough to pay the high cost of cheap illegal labor
sxypr Here in Arizona its illegals from Mexico ,if you dont know what you are talking about then ...dont.

Sure they do. Something you should know is that you are really worried about a small problem. The media has really, really played it up. The whole thing is an political illusion to get Americans to focus on something other than...the war. With elections coming up in Nov., politicians are trying all kinds of tricks to get people to not ask questions they don't care to answer. But unemployment...any politician would spend hours talking about...it's safe. Backed up by facts, no opinions or thinking required.
The unemployment rate in the US is about 4.7%, half of what it is in Europe. Most of that 4.7% is made up by people who a) don't want to work (lazy and liking welfare) and b) discouraged workers (workers who have higher education, but aren't willing to work bottom rung jobs and expect to be V.P. the day after college) and c) people who were laid off or whose companies went under (this is a fairly small piece of the pie).
Like I said....this is a political trick to get people to look in the wrong direction...seems to be working.

No, mexicans don't deserve the right to work. Americans, however, also do not have this "right" to work. No where in our bill of rights does it say that every American should have a job. Whoever can do it faster or cheaper (mexicans in this case) deserve the job, if such a job exists.

yes because americans sit on their *** and act like they deserve the best jobs in america and refuse to do anything else, so yes foreingers deserve jobs in america as long as americans have their heads stuck up their asses, if all the mexicans stoped working right now and refused to work this country would take a serious stumble for the next few months trying to get itself back together.
