Actually its the English speaking/writing category/not international.
I have over the years boycotted many products and still do for the ones that test on animals.
But you aren't hurting one country by not buying their goods. In fact a global economy is very important to the world. We here in America can not isolate ourselves from the world. We are a huge partner in the global economy. It would hurt the US and our trading partners and that's not good for either of us.Perhaps if Mexico was able to have more factory's and more goods being produced they could offer more to their own people and keep them in their own country. That means a decrease in illegals to the US.(I live in AZ and our illegals are 99% from Mexico)
A better economy in Mexico means less strain put on the US economy by illegals coming here to work.

No amnesty
Deportation not legalization

There is a problem with that, some things just aren't made in America at all. And some people just can't afford to buy only American made products, as they cost a lot more. It is a great idea, and trust me, I would love it if it were something that could be done realistically, but until you can convince the big companies to only make there stuff in America even though they won't earn as much profits, its a losing battle, sadly. But I do think that everything you can get that is American made, and you can afford to buy it, you should. Even just cutting down on buying foreign made products will make a big difference.

ROFL

So much for deporting immigrants,huh?

What would you drink in the mornings? America isn't known for excellent coffee.
What would you do with that bag of rice? It took a Mexican, or Spaniard to teach you how to cook it.
Oh and that chicken broccoli and general tso *always* drag along customers. What would you do with the raw fish you just learned you could put into a roll of sushi? Americans kiss the sidewalks of Chinese, and Japanese cuisine sites.
What car do you drive? Or should I say, would you make an investment in, worth your money?
Those clothes you're wearing are 100% American, huh? We even grew all the cotton and sheared the wool here too, I bet. The same cotton you wipe your rear with... cotton picked by..... immigrants???
GET over it.

Want to be 100% American? It is too late, buster. The only ones with every right under the sun to be called 100% American are being killed since the 1600s.... by illegal immigrants!

It's happening everywhere, not just in the USA. I think it's funny that such a question has appeared on the UK and Ireland page on Yahoo Answers.

What's wrong with other countries making the brands. It is cheaper labor in china, and the ecomony will be better.
