Whatt part of unskilled labor do you not undersstand. There is no learning curve for dishwashing! All the skilled jobs you do like construction..some stupid American has to train you to do......So who didn't know how to do it? What is one job the illegals can do better than Americans?...I'm listening with two ears in two languages. Illegals do stel jobs because they get hired by American criminals for below minimun..in turn the citizen can't get the job

Where are all these illegals who are claiming that US citizens are are "lazy" or "don't know how to do their jobs?" Illegals are competing for jobs in the open market just like everybody else. True that employers of illegals are technically breaking the law and many US citizens are not willing to work for "slave" wages and the economies in many central American counties are extremely weak, but how does this translate into "arrogance" on the part of illegals? Most of these folks are just looking for a better life for themselves and their families and aren't thinking about the alleged laziness of American workers.
The problem of illegals seeking work in the US could be resolved by US consumers willingness to purchase more expensive products and services so employers would be willing to pay higher wages to attract and keep more American workers ... plus, by improving the economies and quality of life in Central American countries so people would not have to sneak into the US to earn a decant living and have a better life.
I really believe you (and several others who answered this question) need to think more clearly about this issue.

There are a lot of legal Americans that work at jobs that pay minimum wage.Its difficult if not impossible for anyone to live on that amount.The illegal will work for less than minimum wage and doesn't have the same standard of living we do /require.We do not live 20+ people crammed into a small apartment.Splitting the $ 450.or lower rent 10 ways.we cant,will not and shouldn't have to live like that.I don't care what it would cost the employer to pay legal Americans a living wage.if it increased the price of products or produce it would be evened out by the American/legals increase in pay.
The part about illegals being better workers is propaganda BS by the illegals and their supporters.Hell we here in America invented hard work.

Because Bush told them. Everytime you hear him say 'Do jobs Americans can't do', which is now changed to 'Do jobs Americans refuse to do'.

They just like to say that to piss people off. They know as well as you and I do that citizens CAN NOT get these jobs even if they apply for them in areas with plenty of illegals. Not even for the same pay, because the employers know they'd eventually be sued by people who have rights here. I recently became aware of how far illegals will go to take our rights from us. I've been hearing that in places where the employees are mostly illegal, the illegals will hound the citizens to quit. They will follow you around all day long calling you lazy, and do everything possible to get you fired. Anybody with such experiences is invited to e-mail me with comments.

can you show me where Americans are lined up to do work in the fields of California? I have lived in California for 26 years and i have never ever ever ever ever ever met an AMERICAN (regardless of race) who ever wanted to work in a field. It would be great Betty if you pointed out to me some Americans who are eager to work picking fruit and vegetables? oh wait they dont exist. Why is an American stupid if they train someone to do skilled work? Seems like there wouldnt be any skilled worker if there werent "stupid Americans" training them? Betty are you in the third grade? and have such a determination to change the laws of the USA to allow them amnesty for criminal behavior, it looks like they could use all that strength, stamina, great work ethics and experience in protesting and demonstrating in their own country and make IT a better place to live. I hear they make tacos pretty good. Anyway, most illegals take this job just for that reason: they are illegal and these jobs are below the radar scope of Big Brother. I don't think they are "so arrogant to think that we are too lazy"...
Anyway, our infallible leader has a plan to grant amnesty to 8-11 million illegal immigrants. So forget about applying at the Taco Bell.

If person A will do a job for 5 dollars an hour, and person B would do the same job for 8 dollars an hour, and you are running a business (where your purpose is to make enough money to feed your family), why on EARTH would you hire the person at 8 dollars? If you are saying immigrants are "stealing" jobs, look at it this way. They are working jobs that most americans feel they are "too good" for. Ridiculous. Americans, it makes no sense to sit on the street corner and beg because you don't want to "stoop" to repairing a roof or flipping a burger. Stop being so angry, and educate yourself. And learn to spell.
