There was no on-going fued with this individual, and I had no contact with him until this. He found the need to email me hateful violent things.

It is wrong.
Times have changed since I first started. Where we shouted and nipped and disagreed but didn't report. I prefer it that way-but each must do their part.
When you tolerate wrong from one source-you have to understand that it has a snowball effect. I see why it has become this way-and he(or she) might not be the beginning of the blame.
It seems this forum has become a Dump. But let us look at the cause-not the symptoms.
The letter was unnecessary. And some of us would never do it. I hope you and others would not either.

No one should be threatened, stalked or harrassed because they have different views. That is not the way to handle anyone including illegal immigrants & supporters. I am against illegal immigration but those tactics are
going too far. Sorry that happened to you, Mendi, we're not all THAT cold. That person is handling illegal immigration in a cowardly manner. If he is so gung-ho about it he should help with the fence either by working on it or helping in the funding of it. Those guys could use any kind of help such as food, money for gas, boots, water, supplies, etc. He does not represent all anti-illegals.

What your missing is his generation's love for his country, something you oppose or don't understand by being pro-illegal. You also seem to think that anything our politicians do will make everything OK and their won't be war, even if illegals are naturalized by a sweep of the pen.

That's just a very disturbed person trying to make someone feel as horrible as they must feel. Is there someone you made mad at you? If you have no suspicion than I'm sure it's a generic spam. What a horrible thing to send though. Just sluff it off. Go have an ice cream.

That man is full of hatred. I got a couple of his nasty emails as well saying he worked as a bartender and poisoned peoples (specifically Mexicans) drinks by adding a chemical used to straighten hair. I get the feeling he's a very bitter, lonely, old man.

Sounds like you really touched a most sensitive area with this one. If I were him, I would look into why a different viewpoint would bring about such venomous hatred. Maybe you hit a truth he just can't swallow. That is usually the case.
