In Phoenix,Az, there was a shooting attack "that left two dead and three wounded, when an unknown woman opened fire on the vehicle in the next lane". This was just a group of seven mexican kids, teenagers, who weren't doing anything to instigate the incident. Makes me wonder if it was racially motivated. What do you think?? (and for all you bigots that think i'm racist,NO,i do NOT think these kids "asked for it") What i AM wondering, though,is if these kids were specifically targeted for being hispanic. You see, things like THIS is what i'm afraid is going to start happening, what with all the anger about the illegals. I've got friends and family members that are Hispanic, and i do NOT want to see them,or anyone else hurt!!! Even though i am ANTI-illegals,i do NOT believe in violence of any type!! These teenagers did NOT deserve what happened to them.

with a letter to my local editor. I live in a small town in Oklahoma and want to express my thoughts on the illegal mexicans starting to move in this area. It pisses me off that they are here and the police won't do anything about it. They are law breakers. I'm about an hour from Dallas and they have been moving to this area latley and now are around 200 in my small community. Do you know of a 1996 law where local police can arrest them. Like they shouldn't any way.

This might not be the right location to post but since I usually post in immigration, here goes:
The first permanent English colony was in Jamestown (in present day Virginia) in 1607. The Pilgrims didn't arrive until 1620 in present day Massachusetts.
I've notice A LOT of Hispanics get this wrong. It makes me suspect if they know anything about Hernando Cortez, the Aztecs, or their own Mexican history (for those of them who are Mexicans and not some other nationality). Anyway I digress.
Of course the first permanent European settlement in the present U.S. was St. Augustine, Florida.
Of course the first European to set foot in the present U.S. was Christopher Columbus (when he landed in Puerto Rico.) Well there are many historians who believe Lief Ericson made it as far south as the present U.S. circa 1000.
Of course the first European settlement in North America was started by Eric the Red circa 975.

One of the arguments used to give amnesty to illegal aliens is, it would cost so much to track them down and deport them, therefore we have to give them amnesty.
Of all the billion and billion and billions the U.S spends on a war in Iraq, to maintain military bases around the world, on welfare, and for foreign aid to third world countries, couldn't we locate and deport every last illegal alien in the USA?
Of course the answer is yes.

want no amnesty for illegal aliens and a stop to illegal immigration. Why don't we hear more from them on this issue?

I've applied on Humanitarian and Compassionate ground. It's been almost 7 years and my case has not been finalized yet. Can someone tell me what takes the authority so long just to make a decision on a file? I contacted the CIC but all they could tell me was there's no time frame for the processing of the file.

Didn't our government back then said this country needed those illegals to do the jobs that americans wouldn't do,the problem then was that as soon as they were given amnesty they left those jobs before the ink on the amnesty bill dried out,and had to be replaced with new illegals. Now George W Bush and the town drunk Ted Kennedy which was around back then are giving us the same crap, only now it will be 4 times the number and that's not counting the families they plan to bring.how long will it take before this stupid senate gets it

America is full of people from different countries. Just because you're white doesn't mean that you're American. If we took out the fact that being born in America, makes a person American. We would realize that the only people from here are the Native Americans. Don't get me wrong, I am not rascist against white people. I'm prejudice against ignorant people who are still living this lie. Open you're eyes people! We're not all from here. Read some books, gain some knowledge. Maybe theres hope that some day people will realize. This is frustrating!

The latino community is the most affected because the immigrants compete with them in the jobs they work, lowering the wages, and send their children to the same schools the latinos do, lowering the quality of their education.

She has courage to speak out about this issue. She has been called a racist and every other thing that isn't true. She is pro American and very patriotic, something boneheads in the government are not.

OK, trying to ease up for those saying I am asking too serious stuff. But think about it, untold illegal thousands are voting in every state - why can't we do the same, because they're sending so many here on purpose to hurt us, we have a stake in their election!

For those that don't know, proving citizenship is against the law when you register to vote so many untold thousands, including in your own community, vote when they have no legal right to do so swaying the vote of legal voters.

Ok no one believes me. These are just samples of the ones we know about.

Why should we care about "some" people destroying their property. Taking their stuff. Their big time rise in crime. Their medical faculty going down. Their rise in drugs .The people worried about their protection all the time.
Some good ones are getting in isn't that what counts?

I think not to those who think the boarder should not be controlled.

immigration??? We can tell why we are pro or con! I am ANTI illegals,as most of you know. My reasons are 1.Illegals are felons.and should not be rewarded for their crimimal behavior. 2. Illegals take jobs that Americans WILL do,and they drive down wages for everyone ELSE 3.Illeglals do NOT want to pledge their allegiance to THIS country, but instead,to mexico 4. Illegals are a DRAIN on our welfare system 5.one third our prison population, are ILLEGAL aliens 6. OVER a million crimes a year are committed by illegal aliens(and for all you whiners,YES we do have a lot of legal citizens in prison, blah.blah, blah, but we can NOT deport citizens) 7. Illegals STEAL other people's identity, and should NOT receive social security benefits for committing ANOTHER felony!! And these are just a FEW of my reasons!

Brown Pride is what is all over a lot of their myspaces and they even wear shirts that say Brown Pride. Don't you think its a little racist and somewhat racial supremist? Do they do this because they feel insecure that they are a minority?
