it is a violation of laws, that i'm sure the catholic church would love to cash in on. birth control is a sin, that the catholics wouldn't even think about, but breaking the law, sneaking across the border and living off others for free, that is not a sin? i guess it doesn't matter, you can just buy your way into heaven, right?

They pretend to side with the american people on stopping the never ending flow of illegals mostly from mexico, yet they're pressuring congress to join them and okay an immigration bill that the majority of americans find it disgusting and will only bring millions of the same illegals in the future, and in all this mess George W Bush and the senate pat themselves on the back on how great they done on this country's security.Do they have a clue how bad it will get if that ridiculous immigration bill passes, didn't they learn a dam thing in 1986?

More action on the illegal immigration front. Some cities are tired of leaving it up to the Federal Government to handle illegal immigration. I think this kind of action is growing and I'm glad to see it! Check it out: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060619/ap_on_re_us/illegal_immigrants_crackdown

HAZLETON, Pa. - With tensions rising and the police department and municipal budget stretched thin, Hazleton is about to embark on one of the toughest crackdowns on illegal immigrants anywhere in the United States.

Last week the mayor of this former coal town introduced, and the City Council tentatively approved, a measure that would revoke the business licenses of companies that employ illegal immigrants; impose $1,000 fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants; and make English the official language of the city.

"Illegal immigrants are destroying the city," said Mayor Lou Barletta, a Republican. "I don't want them here, period."

1 of many! "death in battle was not the most decimating factor for the native tribes. Writes Ian K. Steele: "The most potent weapon in the invasion of North America was not the gun, the horse, the Bible, or European 'civilization.' It was pestilence." Concerning the effect of Old World diseases Patrica Nelson Limerick, a professor of history, wrote: "When carried to the New World, these same diseases [to which Europeans had had centuries to develop immunity]-chicken pox, measles, influenza, malaria, yellow fever, typhus, tuberculosis, and, above all, smallpox-met little resistance. Mortality rates in village after village ran as high as 80 or 90 percent."

Russell Freedman describes an epidemic of smallpox that struck in 1837. "The Mandans were the first to be stricken, followed in swift succession by the Hidatsas, the Assiniboins, the Arikaras, the Sioux, and the Blackfeet." The Mandans were almost completely liquidated. have you ever heard that saying before? do you know what it means?

it really means that americans like to work, they llike to feel like they're contributing something to society, to make everything better, but the mexicans, they ONLY do what they have to do to survive, and not one thing more. that's why they live in poverty, twenty to a trailer, and we have nice houses, far far away from the dirty mexicans.

Why can't we simply acknowledge those who came here illegally as "legal aliens" who can get a work permit each year if they want too stay. Why reward them with citizenship for breaking our laws? Why not reserve "citizenship" for those who've come here legally and obeyed our laws? Why can't this make sense to GW, the Senate and congress?

All the Mexicans and other spi...er...hispanics look fat and healthy. The men all have beer bellies and all the woman have as..er...buttockses as wide as axe handles. Their little malbehaved diablos are obese too. These people can't be getting any exercise.
They've gotta laid up in the rack swilling beer and eating a lot of tacos. Well they have to breed at some point because they have so many little malbehaved diablos. So it is beer/taco time then sex, beer/taco time/sex, etc. The only exercise they must get is well fuc..er...sex. Personally, I've never peered in a dirt covered windows of one of their trashy trailers they call home to see. The thought of two of these creatures having sex on a filthy urine, sweatt and vomit stained mattress is rather nauseating. I'd rather watch two wilerbeats go at it.

This insane and ridiculous bill that came out of the senate floor was written by Harry Reid and Ted Tennedy both democrats and John McCain republican with the blessings from George W Bush another republican, yet people on this board do not want to admit their party in the senate abandoned them, and blame the other party. The truth is,both parties are sucking to the mexican voters and going against the majority of americans and knowing full well the voters will still vote for them and blame the other guy like it's has been going on.

Yesterday I posted a question out of anger, asking why Mexican immigrants are the only immigrants noticed by people in the US. Now I asked that question, because I was angry by some of the comments people were making regarding immigration. Now let me ask you this: Why are people rascist against Mexicans in general? People always presume that just because a persons Mexican that they are immigrants. Let me tell you, my family has been in California and Texas since they were a part of Mexico. All of my cousins and brothers and sister have graduated college, and now have successful careers. They all own their homes, and live a great life. America is the land of opportunity, there should be no reason that people judge Mexicans so cruely. Just because some Mexicans are bad, doesn't mean we all are. There needs to be a change. This is ridiculous. We all bleed the same color!

Do you think that they deserve the same rights? are we not all gods children or should we punish someone for being born on the wrong side of the fence
To all the people who spoke negatively I appreciate your response. I just wish people wouldnt be so ignorant. My husband pays taxes he pays alot in taxes. Me and my husband are better off then alot of people who live in the US. Were not on welfare we dont have free medical. We own our own house, we drive a brand new GMC 2006 Truck. We have great furniture. alot of you said maybe he should have came here legally. it is very difficult. It takes yrs and yrs to do that, not only that but it actually cost a great deal of $ to do that. My husband is brave for walking 3 days in the desert. I think my husband is incredible for the ordeal he had to go through to have what you and I take adantage of. How lucky that we are able to fly to vacation in Mexico. How lucky that we are born as I like to say on the right side of the fence.
