I think that that Washington is so out of touch with the views of most Americans. In addition; I believe it may have a lot to do with the lobbyist for various business. However; I believe many of us are waking up and this up coming November Elections will be the litmus test. I say dump the dirty bastards.

That's an excellent question. They blame each other because that diverts attention away from the fact that neither party is doing anything to solve the problem. Both Democrats and Republicans kis* the as* of the business elite. It is the business elite who want these illegals here to increase their profits. Pointing fingers and blaming the other guy is just a political game to confuse the American people and keep things the way they are, which is what employers want. As long as the American voter keeps blaming one party or the other, they can get away with not solving the problem. More Americans need to wake up, stop blaming either party, and realize it is BOTH PARTIES that are betraying them.

That's how politics "works'. Republicans and Democrats use stupid, inane sleight-of-hand tricks to make use think they're really working hard, when - in fact - it's all designed to distract us from the 'real' work that Republicrats don't want to address. This U.S Congress is the most corrupt, incompetent, evil Congress ever to occupy the Capitol Building. They need to all be impeached, along with George Bush and Dick Cheney.

This Republican-dominated Congress is despicable. The real sad thing is that the Democrats aren't any better. All members of Congress do these day is run for re-election. But, why not?
It's the best job in the world. They do nothing productive, get no performance evaluations, give themselves pay increases as they feel like it, get incredible pensions, receive the very best medical care at no cost to them, and are held up to the world as "honorable" people, when - indeed - they're mostly pondscum.

Actually a lot more Democrats than Republicans voted for it but both parties are to blame. Like George Wallace said,"There isn't a dime's worth of difference between the Democrats and Republicans." Also why I voted on Patrick Buchanan in 2000. I didn't even bother to vote in the last Presidential election.

I am republican and feel betrayed, neither party do what the majority of Americans want. They have no balls. Fox made a deal with Bush in 2004 to have unlimited immigration for Mexicans, if that's not betrayal I don't no what is. Their all traitors in by book, and election time I am voting everyone of those bastards out, I wish others would also. But I can guarantee Kennedy will keep his job and the others will to.

The Democrats were catering to a minority constituency of theirs (illegal immigrants and supporters), and to agribusiness (in the case of California). If only their own part of the bill had gone into effect, the rest of their constituency might have lived with it.
The Republican Senators were flat out for big business, including agribusiness but many others as well. Even with only their part, the rest of their constituency would have had problems. Their entire point was to bring in a work force to depress wages. However, without the Democrat influence requiring that once here guest workers get residence and citizenship opportunity, and without bringing family in, the other Republicans might not have entirely revolted. In that case it would be more of a truly revolving work force, rather than an increase in permanent immigration perpetually refreshed to continue driving down wages.
The influence of the needs of the one to support the aims of the other lead to entirely too much immigration on all fronts, which would ruin our schools, health services, and upward mobility for our citizens.
All of them who voted 'yes' on this are to blame.

I'll vote for the green party to make it a felony to illegally enter and reduce immigration based on need or any other party before I vote democratic or republican. I would write in the name of the congressman from any party that did the most to represent the people of the United States, His name is Dana Rorabacher. All I need to know is he'll make it a felony and he's the guy.

Its all about who looks good in the eyes of the people. Also the majority of americans don't talk about what their views are, they keep their mouths shut. So for you to say that both parties are going against the people that is a bunch of BS. Just look at who put them them in office. We did. The People put them there. The majority of americans vote them into their positions. The minority doesn't do it, the majority does.

Because they both think we are too stupid to know the difference.
And as far as the Senate -not one will get a vote from me. And I could care less if they were public lynched in the town square-I would still enjoy my lunch.

OMG.......that has been going on for decades.
Lets not single out this issue or this bill.......that would be ridiculous.
I have a "finger pointing theory".....but it is too long to post and would probably go right over 89% of the people who post here.
Peace
