Why can't we simply acknowledge those who came here illegally as "legal aliens" who can get a work permit each year if they want too stay. Why reward them with citizenship for breaking our laws? Why not reserve "citizenship" for those who've come here legally and obeyed our laws? Why can't this make sense to GW, the Senate and congress?

Yes It makes me sick to think that people who break our laws are rewarded. To answer the girl from earlier no it isnt all hispanics but lets face facts they are like 95% of illegals. Get rid of the liberal terds, and the illegal Mexicans. All they do is suck off the tit that is law abiding tax paying citizens. They are the reason we have to wait like 2 hrs at the emergency room, our teachers have to speak spanish, and prisons are over populated. F'em send em all packing.

I agree with that, however, I don't want 'chain immigration' from the current illegals, either. I think AFTER we have true border security and an enacted path to enforcable employer sanctions, we should legalize screened illegals (not give them citizenship). However, I also think they should not be given 'family unification' preferences to bring in family not here as happened after the 1986 amnesty. I also would in that case NOT increase going forward immigration until we can educate our own and those already here in our border states. Those already here are too much to support. If we do it anyhow, we can't increase immigration for a while.

We subsidize school and health care for poor people which is why so many want to come and why the line is so long. We can't take on the poor of other countries until we can take care of our own citizens, in my opinion.

Amnesty literally just means forgoing punishment, it doesn't mean giving a right to EITHER residency or citizenship Both of those are benefits which people who have not come illegally have been waiting for years to get.

Everybody breaks the United States laws, not just Hispanics. I have no problem with the illegal immigrants because most of them come here for a better life. Hispanics would come here legally if the legal way wasn't such a joke, it takes four or more years to become a legal immigrant. Why don't you try living in complete poverty and making ends meet every single day, I don't think you would survive for one milli second. When people risk their lives to come across our border it means their desperate, why can't you understand that? Your mind is so one-sided and set in your ways that you don't even know how to look at the whole picture.

You're so right! I totally agree with you. Do you know it is soooooooo hard for people who come into the country legally and stay here legally to get a green card and it takes yearssss for them to be able to get citizenship! All they get are work permit year by year by year.... so they do not have many rights as they would when they become permanent residents. Now, the law wants to reward the ones who are here illegally and don't care about the ones who are here legally paying their taxes, working hard, educating themselves, and not being a burden to welfare!

I totally agree with you. Whoever doesn't come into the country legally, shouldn't get citizenship.

I hate to say it but GLOW and SLEEZ are wrong. The immigration laws are set for a reason. Those people who come over here to have a better life need to go thru channels. You wouldn't and couldn't go to another country and even visit if you don't have the proper documentation.

They need to stay where they are at, until they have the proper documents, and deport the ones who are here illegally. We need to take back their rights if they break the laws, just like the US criminals get, with one tiny exception, they shouldn't be aloud to return to the US ever.

Yes...the domestic benefits of America should be reserved for those who deserve them. Glow is wrong. According to the PEW Hispanic research center the vast majority of illegals coming from Mexico were gainfully employed before entering America. If they have the money to pay a coyote they have money to eat. only the healthiest of people can cross the desert.

you're perplexed. the subject of who's an American citizen became suggested properly earlier the 14th replace. the subject got here up of what does Article II, section I mean while it says: ""no one different than a organic born Citizen, or a Citizen of united states of america of america, on the time of the Adoption of this shape, would be eligible to the place of work of President.."" It became felt all persons born interior of united states of america of america, different than those no longer project to the jurisdiction of the U.S. government (which includes infants of remote places diplomats) are voters by start. the only way shall we no longer call the youngsters of illegals "organic born voters" is to assert the illegals are actually not project to the jurisdiction of the U. S. government. it could be giving all the illegals "diplomatic immunity" which could be a worse difficulty than now we've. even although, that would not avert us from deporting the unlawful mom and dad. in the event that they do no longer decide for to interrupt up the kinfolk, they are able to take the youngsters with them. yet in many circumstances, the mummy and dad abandon the newborn and pass residing house.

Citizenship should only be for those that actually came here legally. If they broke our laws they should go back to their own country!

no. There's something that says "Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in Egypt.

The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
So they are just doing what that God guy said. It's weird how sometimes it's nice, and sometimes it's wrathfull. I guess he plays favorites or something. But it works out for the favorites. It just sux for the people he's predjudice against, because way too many people justify their own by saying they are just doing what he says.
