Should we send troops or reserves to guard every body of water/border surrounding the US?

If you are suggesting that building a wall is ridiculous, I agree with you. That proposal is impractical and only serves to fuel the arguments of advocates for illegal immigration like yourself. It's an argument that confuses a very simple issue, with a very simple solution. Illegal immigration would cease to be a problem if employers were heavily fined and jailed for hiring illegals. That's why illegals are here. Employers increase their profits by hiring them and the government lets them get away with it. No jobs, no illegals. When the jobs dry up, these illegals will return to their country on their own, and there will be no point in others coming because the incentive would be gone. The few illegals that might remain here after these measures are enacted, would be here only to try to milk our welfare system, but that could easily be handled by making it a felony to do that. Most of them would decide to leave and those who didn't would be thrown in jail and then deported. End of problem. No need for a wall or troops. No more ammunition to fuel silly arguments from apologists for illegals.

Sure and they should hold hands and sing while their at it. Maybe when they are bored they can play an enormous game of ring around the rosie. It can be like a huge game of red rover red rover with machine guns.

Canadians dont want to live here. They sit up there and laugh at us. Theres no problem with them, they have a great country, albiet a cold one, so they dont try to leave. Socialized healthcare, more jobs than people, I dont think many think of coming over here for much beyond vacation from the cold, where they spend money and build our economy. Doubt the government has much interest in shooting the Canadians. No money in it.

LOL to prevent what? Canada and America are GOOD neighbours. Mad cow... our livestock industries are utterly intertwined. We trade cows, feed, semen, and milk or pork. When we had mad cows, American pork enterprise lobbyists had you folks slam the border close and make a load of cash off larger pork income. Then, whilst you had a mad cow observed within the states, you threatened and whined on the notion we could retaliate through banning your improve right here. We didn't, given that we valued the technological know-how outcome as an alternative than the politics, in each guidelines. Free exchange works among us, generally... however every time the deal falls in favour of Canadian Industries you might have lobbyists attempt to impose price lists and taxes to hide themselves. Softwood lumber, salmon... something we promote you, you might have this notion of entitlement approximately. Free Trade must advantage each events. When 911 occurred, we contributed as we would. American planes have been diverted right here, we rallied to help each person we would. Scrambled reaction groups, and so forth. Our executive has helped largely with trade of knowledge... the RCMP even provided Canadian terror suspects to the U.S. Maher Arar used to be deported to Syria, through the States, to be imprisoned and tortured, as an alternative than being again to Canada. We would desire we had extra distance from you. Why precisely do you sweat our proximity to you? We are extra open, sincere, mild and not more swayed through politics.

We need to secure our borders. Illegal entry levels from Canada don't indicate need for a fence. This might have something to do with the fact that the Canadian government doesn't create maps for illegal immigrants and counsel them before they illegally try to cross the border. It very likely has something to do with the more equal standard of living across the Canadian border. It also has a lot to do with the fact that Canada, also, takes border security seriously.

However, Canada also has very liberal asylum policies, and we do need secure borders on all sides.

I didn't realize 12 million Canadians came across the border and took advantage of our education system, health care systems and obtained some government hand outs. If they did...hell yea lets start building

We should only build a wall along our northern border if it is shown to have the same problems as our southern border.

no, just the mexican border. over 80% of all illegals come in through mexico. the other 20% comes from everywhere else, everywhere, like boats, cargo containers, and yes, canadian border. but nothing compares to the mexican border. landmines and sniper towers would keep the border secure.

we should get closer ties to canada, not build any kind of border or wall. Mexico is the problem where illegal immigrants are coming in. Canada isn't poor

Wow, your inescapable logic has persuaded me. Maybe we should put a ceiling on the US as well.

Genius.

Mexicans are flooding into our country with the explicit approval of their own government. That is why we are strengthening our southern border.

No. Canadians aren't the ones flooding into our country, it's Mexico and south America.
