20 years old, his parents were born in a different country but moved to that country when they were young and gave birth to their child and now taht child as well as his parents are refused to get a citizenship because their ancesters didn't live in that country about 70 years ago. Do you think it is justifiable or blamed?

They are legal only not citizens, residents without rights to vote.

if you were born in america, YOU are american, NOT your parents and all your brothers and sisters, and everyone you know. just you.

Actually, I understand that a number of countries say you have to have at least one citizen parent to be a citizen by birth. I'm not sure about the other wrinkles. Netherdlands? Sweden? One of those?

I'd have to know a whole lot more. If the parents were let in on a temporary permit or something, they knew the rules when they signed up. However, I can't tell if I'd be against it or not from what you tell me.

Tough luck, should have payed attention to the laws of the nation they are trying to get into. I dont care what country it is, It has laws which need to be followed.
