Taken from a letter of a victim of sexual abuse:

Let me say first that I am a victim of rape. I fully support a registry of sex offenders that protects me and others from this evil act of control. I have found, however, that the registry is cluttered with names of persons who are not rapists, but are labeled as such because they had a a lapse in judgement. One example in particular is that of a man seduced by a fourteen year old girl who obviously was lacking in parental guidance. Did he commit a crime? Yes he did. Is he remorseful? Yes, he suffers with his guilt every day. Is he a Rapist? HELL NO!!!!! He may have shown poor judgement, but she played her part too, and so did her parents. How fair is it to me, a victim of forcible rape, that when I look to see what sex offenders may live close to me and my family, that I see names like this posted there? This undermines what happened to me, and makes a mockery of my suffering.

Perhaps you should think again.

"A principal reason Hemingway was pushed to see a psychiatrist was because he had insisted that “feds” were keeping him under close scrutiny. Under the Freedom of Information Act, FREEDOM obtained more than 100 pages of FBI documents which showed that J. Edger Hoover’s agents had haunted Hemingway’s life right up through his final days. The “feds” he complained about had been no illusion."

OK alot of people say undocument students do no deserve to be citizens. But think about the fact that alot of these students were brought since they were 3 years old., They did not know better. Do not punish the children for the sins of there parents. Also what if the illegal students is doing so well in school pure A's lets say and the one with the citizenship fails and drops out. I think that with the right documents the illegal students will go far.
Alot off you also say no opportunity for the people that broke the law. Well then For every person that was caught drunk driving, stealing a liquor store or any other criminal history shoul have there citizenship should be taken away.
For those of u who r against the Dream Act. Put yourself in the student's shoes. What if it was u. YOu do so well in school top in your class. then at the end all your dreams are broken because you are not a citizen. Just because you were not born in the US. Babies cannot decide were to be born.

"We democrats are going to address this issue after the election when we take control of the congress. We will return to the 60% to 80% tax rates on the rich and we will be able to take at least 30% of all current lower Federal Income Tax tax payers off the roles and increase government income substantially. We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest."

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:

"We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as "Americans".
This is what we have to look forward to if we elect a DEMOCRAT. What do you think?

I'm not a general but I study military history and warfare, and know that the strongest army in the world (U.S) should be able to defeat guys in cloth in caves. Is it that Guerrilla warfare is too much for the U.S?

When she told General Petreaus her famous quote "Willing suspension of disbelief" (with the surge obvioulsy working now)

and when she screwed up on the New York Drivers License question

I mean let's be honest...you know the Republicans are going to use that in their TV ads. I mean can you blame them?

If you were a Democratic Strategist..how would you make-over these two hiccups.

Bhutto was going to challenge Musharraf's seat in election next month and she was the main political opponent of the dictator.

Musharraf also did not care much about bhutto's security and offered no protection at all, when he himself has top class security wherever he goes.

Also military dictators love their seat a lot and would never want to give it up no matter what.

I am clueless when it comes to politics. Specifically politics pertaining to country or governmental issues.

Is there any site (free) where I can learn the basics of politics? And by "basics" I mean learning political and economical terms.

I've been interested in learning about this subject for quite some time now, and I personally feel that I should have my own point of views or understand about world issues and better understand the politics of the country that I live in. But I can't due to the fact that I do not fully understand how politics work.

So if anyone knows of any sites that teaches this, that would be really helpful. Thank you

Scavenging on bulk trash days is beneficial for everyone; the scavenger gets useful materials without wasting anything, the person trashing the stuff gets rid of it, and the city has less to put in the landfills. Why, then, is this practice illegal? (specifically, in the city of Austin, TX)
