Bhutto was going to challenge Musharraf's seat in election next month and she was the main political opponent of the dictator.

Musharraf also did not care much about bhutto's security and offered no protection at all, when he himself has top class security wherever he goes.

Also military dictators love their seat a lot and would never want to give it up no matter what.

Musharraf does not control the suicide bombers. If Musharraf wanted Benazir Bhutto out of the way it would have been much more efective to have her jailed on corruption charges.

There was already a Pakistani warrant out for her arrest on corruption charges. It was Musharraf himself who had that arrest warrant voided. All Musharraf had to do was permit Benazir Bhutto to be arrested under the existing arrest warrant if he wanted her out of the way.

The Muslim extremists, Al Qaida, the Taliban and the tribal warlords all hated Benazir Bhutto because she was pro western, anti Taliban anti Al Qaida, anti Muslim extremist and anti tribal warlord. All of these groups hated Benazir Bhutto with a passion not only because of her positions on these issues but also because they did not think that a woman should have a position of power.

In addition, far from threatening Musharraf's power, Bhutto and Musharraf had developed a power sharing agreement where they would share power, join the power of their power bases and increase their efforts to stamp out the influence of the Muslim extremists, Al Qaida, the Taliban and the tribal warlords in Pakistan.

The extremist groups felt extremely threatened by the prospect that Musharraf and Bhutto were going to join forces and form a coalition of their power bases against the Muslim extremist groups in Pakistan.

The Muslim extremists felt extremely threatened and were determined to prevent Musharraf and Bhutto and their power bases from joining forces against the Muslim extremists.

That is why Benazir Bhutto was assassinated.

Neither Al Qaeda or Musharraf have been in charge for the attack. This attack grew to become into dedicated by means of the Taliban or an offshoot of the Taliban. you ought to comprehend that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are 2 distinctive communities. that's real that their are conflicting techniques on how she died, from the gunshot, the shrapnel from the suicide blast, or the main recent concept that she hit her head and killed herself by means of fracturing her cranium. A Taliban appropriate valid claimed his human beings have been in charge in an intercepted message. This Taliban valid additionally had a place interior the tried suicide attack that focused Bhutto while she have been given decrease back. That suicide attack killed as much as a hundred and fifty human beings and injured rankings greater. anyhow, what desires to be achieved is a kind of reconciliation between the present government and the inhabitants. Musharraf desires to start the means of rooting out Taliban and Al Qaeda sympathizers and supporters. The Pakistani human beings must additionally take a greater lively place against Al Qaeda which incorporate forming many militias to combat them interior the mountainous components alongside with the armies help. i desire the Pakistani human beings react frequently with calm and that i desire there is a few kind of stability reached after a era of three-4 weeks.

It does no good to point fingers from our computer desks at this early time in the investigation. The answer to any question that begins with "is it possible," is "sure." Is it possible that Musharraf had it done? Sure. Is it possible that Musharraf is totally innocent in this? Sure.

The truth is, when I first heard this awful news, my first reaction was, oh, another leader in the middle east assassinated. I, for one, am SHOCKED. Now, I'm starting to come to my senses and I'd like to know who and/or what is behind this. The only thing that really surprises me about it is that people seem so surprised that a leader can be assassinated like this in the middle east, but let's face it. It's important to find out who is behind it, and jumping to conclusions just solves nothing.

I would think that thte Madrid bombings were a case in point.
They were put into action to affect the outcome of the Spanish elections which they did.

Same thing here, Mushareef would never be so stupid to kill her right before and election.

Just ask yourself who has the most to gain? and who has the most to lose.

I just read a story on Yahoo that read like this "If I am killed part of the blame goes to Mushareef" this was from Bhutto.
But what it did not cover who she was really worried about, it was the Taliban and Al-Queda they were far bigger emenies as they opposed a woman in office one that had sworn she would eradicate the terrorists.

So it will play out as Mushareef did this then we will see his overthros and we will have a radical in power.

Osama is revered in Pakistan.

we have to be very carefull, there's a lot of weird claims floating around...and we can't dismiss that possibility: he did afterall, jail his political opponents. Bhutto had many enemies, most of them were establishments--and that's the thing: was it one guy? or was there a connection elsewhere? It could just be some hardcore Muslim dude who didn't like her hair showing.
