Here's the problem with providing Universal Health Care without health care industry reform FIRST:
Having back surgery in 1 week.
Total projected bill is $66,000.00
I have insurance, negotiated price for surgery is $2900.00.
YES I SAID $2900.00!!!!!!.
Had I not had insurance the bill to me would be $66,000.00!!!!!.
Universal Health Care will be nothing but a huge tax dollar drain.
The problem of 2 tiered billing must be addressed first,THEN we can consider some plan for health insurance.
Question is simple:
Do you agree or disagree?

I recently got hired and needed to fix my suspended licence. I called the licence branch & paid all my tickets. When i went to get them re-instated, They said a 90 day waiting period is in effect from the time i paid my ticket. My new job cant wait that long for me to get my licence. I was told the only way to get this resolved is to have the judge send a court order to the BMV waiving the 90 days.....but this will take a lawyer & money i dont have.....I need the job to hire a lawyer...Even if i request a temporary licence, or hardship licence, I still need a lawyer to plead my case. Does anyone know any legal advice for me??
PLEASE HELP!

I saw that Mitt Romney (former governer of Massachusetts) is having to put up with crap about running for president due to his religious beliefs. But in reality, people aren't supposed to bring their religious beliefs into politics anyway. So what are people so worried about? If someone like Mitt Romney was going to bring their religious beliefs into politics, then gay marriages wouldn't be legal in Massachusetts.

My boyfriend got pulled over this morning... and he had to sign on this electronic thing.
The thing must have messed up or something because he says his signature isn't anywhere on the ticket itself...
So does he still have to pay the fine?

They deserve to lose. I could be a Republican but all the ppl who were for aligning the party with religion to the detrament of small government and non-intervention policies have made the philosophy incongruent with the outcome. (Rove/Bush) So do you think the now 2 fractions of the Repubs (the religious v. the Goldwater conservatives) will lose because of this?

This is a new complaint of mine against a P.D. which thankfully I was not involved with, but it still stinks.
This California Beach town made a law requiring bicycle licenses on all bicycles in the city. The police went to the beach cut the locks off bicycles and impounded AKA (stealing) them. Regardless many were tourists and others from towns that don't require bicycle licenses.

Can a backround investigator call your high school and ask if you were suspended and why ? I know they can get your transcripts but was not sure if personal records were available to them. Are disciplinary actions (such as suspension) private?

It's my understanding the personal files are kept with a counseler and it's up to them to decide whom the info is given out to.

If you are an investigator Police/Fire would you ask this?

My old friend, who is in the marines let me borrow his playstaion 3 in exchange for my playstaion 2 and a stockpile of games, and he said that he would return for it in about a month. He has not come yet and i wont mail it because it cost money that he does not want to give me. I have no problem with mailing it, but i will not pay for it as the agreement was for him to return for it. Now, i am recieing threats form his sargeant or commaniding officer. What steps can i take aganist this. I am not trying to steal his ps3. This is a matter of principle, and threats cross the line

I'm considering enlisting towards the military job of EOD, and had been on Aderrall this last summer (electively) and ceased using it in August. If i were to try applying in the next few days, with that history, would i be restricted such that i could not even begin boot camp until a full year had passed? Or could i do boot camp this spring, and then postpone going on active duty until the 1-year mark had passed? Or can i not even apply at all until the 1-year mark? I have background experience relevent to the EOD position, and i am a single 21 year old male non-smoker/-drinker, in Iowa USA.

I have recently purchased a cell phone from a guy on ebay. He sent me a tracking number from USPS but when I enter it it says there is no such item. If he doesn't ship the item how would I go about sueing him? This was like a $250 dollar phone for christmas and this is bull if he doesn't ship it. He has like 98.9% positive feedback though. I'm going to wait about 2 days until I take action, I just want to know how to do it? Thank You

I won't bore you with the torrid details...but..if police have a bench warrant, NOT a search warrant, and they believe juvinile son is in my home (he has not commited a crime, other then not following DHS guide lines) #1.Do I have to let them in? #2 Can they search my entire home? #3..If so, are they allowed to search places that would be impossible to hide? ie: drawers, or top of shelves in closets, medicine cabinets. even though it is obvious a 120# person could not hide there. #4. If in that search they saw / found paraphernalia (old pot pipe)would it be considered probable cause to tear my house up looking drugs? Any words of wisdom, other then I shoudn't have kept souvenirs from past, would be appreciated. Thanks

-The Congress is, first of, 49% Republican.
-The Congress is, to most people, NOT LIBERAL ENOUGH to most Americans who know we never should have gone into Iraq in the first place.

For the 10 point award for best answer:
Why do Republicans deliberatly distort statictics. Is it to cover up how clueless and disgrace the Bush Adminsitration is?
(yep.)

If you think it isn't;what would you do to stop a thief from taking all you have?
Specifically,if we all do as some suggest and allow thieves to take what they want because"things can be replaced",why even have laws against theft? It's only "stuff" that can be replaced.
Let the police handle it? Reaction time varies from a good 4 minutes to literally hours.Plenty of time for a thief with quick hands.
