If you all don't know what I am talking about with the list above then you have not been reading the news. And so there is nothing I can say to you accept read the news. Look at the charts and spending and deficit. Look at what is happening to Romney because he is a mormon. Look at the drama that occurred when states attourneys would not fall in line. These are major stories in the news daily. Again, however if this all were reversed and happened with a Dem pres - I guess you would understand the words on th screen then. SHEEP. And yes, I could be a Republican based on the philosophies but the sheep mentality turns me off.

Lillian - I am definitely not dumb and have a masters in Public Admin and Political Science. How about you try and answer the question with facts rather than ideology and insults.

Pretty much what either party does when in control. What is your point? Trying to bait us with "when a democrat is elected".\\

You already know how Republicans will answer this question. These are examples of things that are ok when Republicans are in power, but not ok for Democrats. Just like when the Republicans controlled the Senate, they lambasted the Democrats for using the filibuster. Now that they are in the minority, they use it all the time.
And by the way, Sexxy, if you think the Republicans reduce federal spending, think again. Take a look at the chart at link below. George Bush has presided over one of the largest increases in Federal spending in history. The only difference between the Republicans and Democrats on federal spending (apart from some differences in spending priorities) is that the Republicans finance federal spending by borrowing (so our children will have to pay for it) while the Democrats are more inclined to pay as you go.

What a great question! I'll be interested to see what Republicans have to say.
[edit]
sexxy, what planet have you been living on for the past 27 years? Republicans have been spending far more than Democrats ever since the Reagan years. George W. Bush has been the biggest spender ever and Reagan and George H. W. Bush weren't far behind. By contrast, Clinton was the only President in recent years with a balanced budget. You should know all of this even if your only source of "news" is Rush Limbaugh. There's hardly a month that goes by when Bush isn't pressuring Congress for hundreds of billions more in spending.

I (for one) have to say it makes me very nervous that none of the major Democratic candidates have categorically promised not to flout the Constitution, not to use Bush's acts as precedent.T he great irony of this election is that Hillary Clinton may well end up the most powerful president in US history, using precedents set by GW Bush.
Of course when we have a Democratic president, Republicans forget all that rhetoric about it being treasonous to criticize the president, suddenly it becomes a duty. No matter what a Democratic president does right or wrong, the Republicans will complain, and when that gets them nowhere they'll just make stuff up, as they did about Bill Clinton.

In 2007 there is little differences between Republican and Democrat. They have both gone so far in attempting to appeal to the largest group of voters that they are basically the same. We'll not all of them..............Ron Paul 08'

Depending on what part of the country you live in those policies might still be in place...and a democrat haven't taken over the white house yet

-increased powers- which power exactly?
-politsizing justice dept....that is a dem problem not a repub one.
-increased fed spending....isn't there a war or something...i guess we could cut back and not fund the war...
-jerrymandering-both parties do this equally...
-using religion to get votes....The only candidate who has introduced us to their Pastor is OBAMA.
i do acknowledge that Huckabee is a Pastor but that is part of who he is, not part of his rhetoric.

Real conservatives don't do any of those things. Those are liberal policies historically. Bush has just screwed up.
