They deserve to lose. I could be a Republican but all the ppl who were for aligning the party with religion to the detrament of small government and non-intervention policies have made the philosophy incongruent with the outcome. (Rove/Bush) So do you think the now 2 fractions of the Repubs (the religious v. the Goldwater conservatives) will lose because of this?

Lillian girl I know my side. And I know my side is not the one who is constantly offering limited gov't and spending as the answer to everything and then doing the opposite. Believe me.

Prancing I am a Christian and a democrat. And there are plenty of us. We will get to use our voice when the Republicans stop using wedge issues like the ones you have mentioned and maybe focus on ones like:

-Poverty
-Prison being about punishment AND REHABILITATION
-Public Schools
-Healthcare

And doing all of this - without condeming all the "others" to hell.

No.

The issue of Religion is not as important to most Republicans as you're lead to believe.

Religion a much more dangerous issue for Democrats. There are (surprisingly) a lot of Christian Democrats, and even more Anti-Christian Democrats.

Democrat policies involve:

pro-abortion

same-sex marriage

removing the "Ten Commandments" from our courtrooms

denying the country was founded on Christian/Judaic laws and principles.

Teaching School Children how to use a condom "When" they have sex... vice teaching abstinence.

So I think the issue of religion is a much more dynamic problem for the Democrats. However, you'll never see questions of faith posed to the Democrats in any of their debate.... (or that is, the same questions Republican candidates are constantly asked).

As with every other issue the Democrats have to walk the fence and can't commit one way or the other without losing support.

No, the Republicans have a very good chance to hold on to the Presidency. I think Barak Obama and been able to high light Clintons weaknesses. Their are cracks in her armor and her responses because of it have been truely a mess. I can see your point regarding Republicans and religion. But look at the other side, the Democrats are merely the party of "others." They basically fill in the voids where Republicans leave off. They don't really have a set of values that they are strict to following . They basically are "the other" party. Every odd balls person, idea, belief is welcomed in the Democratic party. It is great they have a place to belong, but the down side is they are flip floppers, and don't really have any moral ground to stand on.

Republicans will not take the House or Senate but there will be a Republican in the White House.
The democrats will lose with either Hillary or Obama as America is not ready as yet for either a woman or black President.

You have no idea of what you are talking about do you? How in God's names can you talk about desiring small government yet think that will be accomplished via a democrat? You had better check out the other side very careful, or you will definitely be very disappointed.

Unless a different electorate suddenly appears in this country, neither the Repub's, nor the Dem's will get what they deserve in the next national election.

The masses of *sses will re-elect most of the same corrupt boobs that are currently in office.

I certainly hope they get what they deserve... A victory in all elections...

I listened to the Democrats debate yesterday afternoon... All they said was tax tax tax tax... and more tax.

Only one, Obama, said he would do something about NAFTA... So, he at least he sees that as an economic killer.. if we could only get him right on the rest... he might not be so bad.
