i have googled his name,wikipedia and everything...wasnt he in WWII.......he was a military leader right?

Vladimir Bogdanovich Rezun born in 1947, was trained as a Soviet army officer in Kalinin and Kiev.

Later, after staff level service and completing studies at the Diplomatic Military Academy in 1974, he served as a Soviet military intelligence GRU officer, working for four years in Geneva under diplomatic cover.

He defected in 1978, and was granted political asylum in Great Britain.

He was an officer in GRU (Soviet Military Intelligence). In 1996 he wrote a book called Poslednaya Respublika (The Last Republic) which put forth the idea that Stalin had planned to invade Western Europe and Germany in the summer of 1940, to bring all of that territory under communist rule. Instead, Hitler and the Germans invaded the Soviet Union earlier than that.
