Dear friends,
My father is working with a rural bank in India,Our family consists of two of us.I am also working girl. Last year my father suffered from Brain Hemorrhage. Considering the family & health situation, he was transfered to the nearest place to our home.
Now, before two months, he's been transfered to a remote place, it's nearly 100 Km from Home.Health facilities are not good there. We can't shift there as it will disturb a lot of things. We requested the management (Top authority) to transfer him to a nearby place from where atleast he could commute daily, but they are not considering our case at all.
Now my father leaves at 6 AM & reaches at 9:30 at night. I am very much worried about his health. To top it, the management has started harrasing him like: they don't sanction his medical bills at first go, that too without any valid reason.
Can we take any legal help? Since it's an official matter , can any help from a third party like Human rights Commission be taken?

He claims this plan is to expensive unnecessary and a waste of money. This plan will cost about 7 BILLION DOLLARS each YEAR.
Yet he has asked congress for 180 BILLION to invest on the war. This will break up to 15 BILLION PER MONTH.

As I follow his point is that our money should be invested on killing people not saving their lives.

Is this guy an idiot or not ????

I am living with the landlord in north California. The rent include everything like electric, hydro, cable etc. He never open the heat during the winter so I bought myself a heater in my bedroom. My landlord found out and asked me to pay extra eletric fee for the heater. I just came here from Canada 4 months ago so I am not familiar with the renting here. Isnt it everyone in north California open the heat during winter?? And is the landlord responsible for the heat in the house? Where can I find the information or whom can I ask for help about this? Thank you

Capitalism should NEVER trump American lives especially the lives of our children!

Yeah, it happens on both sides but this new Democratic controlled congress takes the cake. All I've heard from the Democrat's rants is how they hate the rich oil companies and they are going to tax the rich, but guess what they did yesterday?

The new energy bill was approved with strong bipartisan support 86-8 after Democrats abandoned efforts to impose billions of dollars in new taxes on the biggest oil companies.

They cut & run again and not at all what they said they would do. Not a single dime of new taxes for oil companies. Does this remind you how they all tell us they are against the war but voted for it to happen and they are for pulling out our troops but none of their leaders are running on that platform for President.

Kerry shouldn't have been blame as a flip/flop since the whole Party seems this way. Whatever happened to getting us out of Iraq?

I've heard Congress is more powerful that the President, but I also heard that they weren't. The Judicial branch is pretty powerful too. Also, is it true the President can give orders to launch nuclear weapons at a desired country? Or does he need some sort of consent?

I have been pulled over in both NJ and NY recently, but my license is from CT where I live. My question is, which points sytem is used? Do I get the amount of points that the infraction would be worth in the state I got pulled over in? Or do they just send a report of my speeding, etc. to the CT DMV and the CT points system is used?

I.E. Speeding 25 over the limit in NJ is (I think) 4 points, but in CT I think it's only 1 or 2. So do I have 4 points on my license because I got pulled over in NJ or do I have 1-2 points because your home state's point system is used no matter where you get pulled over?

I am a former republican and I am hoping to cast my vote for Barack Obama next year. I believe he is a fair minded individual who is not prejudiced by race or religion. I also believe that he has real integrity and a respect for the Constitution.

Explain why you think Mr. Obama is the best choice for President (or explain why you think someone else would be better).

I've been wondering how much "they" really know about us. Can they access all the record about us with a click of a button? If they really can find out a lot about us, why different govt. departments make us fill up the forms for getting things done such as immigration, etc? Why not just check their databases...

It doesn't matter what warzone you are in or where you are . It's just a simple question - You look on the horizon , you see an army coming towards you , what army do you hope it is ?

I paraphrase.....but who said that? Who said its smart for those in power to give the perception that all who oppose them on any issue are really all one group of people and to keep hammering away at that group.. So that for example if someone oppose you on jaywalking you call him a x, if they oppose you on ecology, you call them a x, if they oppose you in what day is best for trash day you call them a x. The point being that you belittle this group x by hammering them all the time so that people become afraid to opppose you or risk being ridiculed as being a member of group x.

and who has done that in the last few years in the american political realm. Please give a specific example.

My husband and I have been legally separated since March of this year. He leaves to Iraq next week and just emailed me saying that he is keeping all of the extra pay he will receive while he is overseas. He says that he is keeping it to save up for his visitations with our two children. (I will be moving across the country in 4 months.) Am I or the kids entitled to any of that? I am not being greedy but would like to have half and put it into savings so I can have some sort of an emergency fund/cushion/safety net (or whatever else you want to call it) when I do become a single parent with 2 kids. I have already figured that what he will be paying me for child support will just barely cover child care. So I will be paying rent, utilities, food, and clothing all on my own while going back to school full time. So I will probably be making not much more than minimum wage and stacking up student debt too. I have asked around but everyone tells me something different. Any help is appreciated

Here is the debate I am haveing with my wife (WE LIVE IN NEVADA) We went to california this weekend . When she drives she goes back and forth from the far left lane to the next to left far left lane at about 5 miles over the posted spead limit only entering the FAST LANE to pass slower traffic. She changes lanes about every 1 to 2 min , most of the way to Los Angeles is only two lanes. I on the other hand ...BEING THAT THE TRIP IS ABOUT 4 and 1 half HOURS... Get in the fast lane traveling 5 to 7 miles over the posted spead limit. She says the left lane a.k.a. fast lane is a passing lane only and I need to stay out of the way of faster moveing vehicles ... If I am going slightly over the max speed premited by law why do I need to get out of the way of people doing well over the posted speed???? 90 to 110 mph!!! Is it a FAST LANE or a PASSING LANE and is it not legal to make constant lane changes???
