Yeah, it happens on both sides but this new Democratic controlled congress takes the cake. All I've heard from the Democrat's rants is how they hate the rich oil companies and they are going to tax the rich, but guess what they did yesterday?

The new energy bill was approved with strong bipartisan support 86-8 after Democrats abandoned efforts to impose billions of dollars in new taxes on the biggest oil companies.

They cut & run again and not at all what they said they would do. Not a single dime of new taxes for oil companies. Does this remind you how they all tell us they are against the war but voted for it to happen and they are for pulling out our troops but none of their leaders are running on that platform for President.

Kerry shouldn't have been blame as a flip/flop since the whole Party seems this way. Whatever happened to getting us out of Iraq?

BTW, "Mission Accomplished" was a fraud perpetrated by the Democrats. In military "mission accomplished" never meant the war was over. However, the libs would belittle those sailors that actually accomplished their mission, and accomplished it quite well by all reports... the reason Bush picked that carrier. Many, many missions have been accomplished in Iraq and the soldiers are rewarded accordingly, always before a war is over. It's been this way before you and I were born and will be this way in the future as well. These are the exact type of lies I was talking about Repub and you are a fine example of the Democratic Party.

If you say it enough, it isn't true, as we were wise to that game in about 3rd grade.

I just love laguna8's response. It represents how easily the liberal hype fools the naive. He says, "a veto-crazy president."

Bush has less vetoes than any president since 1923. He has 7, Clinton had 37.

With people this uninformed, how in the world could we ever win a war or keep people from believing 9/11 wasn't an inside job?

Simply amazing!

Everything you said is correct.

Just like Hillary's first forage into healthcare, they say what they know their public wants to hear and behind closed doors do what is in their own best interest.

There's a reason why Hillary leads the pack in contributions from the medical industry.

They do it because they know that liberals are lemmings and need nothing more than a bribe or a "hate America" slogan to get them to follow mindlessly.

Look at the answers I get to my questions. Whether it's taxes, patriotism or anything else, liberals are seething with hatred for America and it's not hard to get them to show it.

Democrats say what they need to for the sake of the delusionoal left, but they are compelled by conservatives (even when they're in the minority in Congress) to do the right thing because they know they'll be punished by the majority of America if they don't.

Sometimes I think Bush has the Democrats in Congress wrapped around his finger. He always gets his way.

There is no way they will impose any new taxes just before a major election. That would be their end. They want at least four years to do that. That way they can spin it on the Republicans before another major election.

They really wanted this bill to pass regardless of whether or not the taxes were involved. Not only would they have had to deal with a fillibuster, but according to Bush it was only going to be vetoed anyways. Unless you have a full two-thirds majority you can't overcome a veto-crazy president.

1. They learned from the Republicans that they could get away with it.
2. They know that, compared to Republicans, they aren't so bad.
3. Most of them are rich enough to BE Republicans.

I firmly believe we don't really have two parties today; we have Republicans and Republican Lites.
