It doesn't matter what warzone you are in or where you are . It's just a simple question - You look on the horizon , you see an army coming towards you , what army do you hope it is ?

Actually its not a silly question because this one question can determine a persons hate or like for a country . Not to mention people's perception for the particular country's army . It was asked of me at a job interview for a US Goverment agency and is qutie telling .

The enemy's army! That way I can take out as many of them with me! By doing so also secures a few more minutes, hours, days, months, or even years for another soldier in the combat zone to accomplish the mission!

The salvation army or the red cross of course if the country was an arab one unforunatly I would have to say red creasent, but they are suposed to be the same at least they could get you out peacfully and queitly and that is better then having gun blazing morons that think boot camp is good enough prepration for rescue operations.

The Barbados Defense force, cause I'll most likely be on the beach in the caribbean!
Failing that I'd take the swiss - if they were in a war, it would have to be a very good reason, as no one messes with Switzerland!

I hope this isn't just another opinionated question asked by a questioner who's probably going to pick "US" out of principle, because that's the answer he was looking for.

Salvation Army, of course. If a real military force comes to you, it probably means the battle is heading in your direction.

If the Salvation Army approaches you, you're probably in semi-safe territory. They're also specifically tasked and equipped to help people.

William B hit the nail on the head.

I would want the USMC and none other. Second choice would be the US Army. The Brits or Aussies would be a good third choice, but all fail in comparison to the Marines.
