My husband just retired from the military after 20 years. I really would like for him to slow down a bit and live more of a "normal" lifestyle and not go 1000 miles an hour and pack so much in. I know I shouldn't complain, but after 9 years of military life, deployments, trips to Iraq etc I want more time with him and him to do less for others and more for "Us". Is there any books out there to help with career military people to decompress and adjust to civilian life?

Is there anyone in the military that use to be extremely homophopic? Is there any service member who has gone through tough combat situations knowing that the person guarding their back is gay? But suddenly your views changed when they found out that one of their battle buddies is gay. If so, what is your new view on gays serving openly in the military? How do you look at yourself during the times when you were homophobic?

Or should he/she change the Constitution to make a Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Mormon, Scientology, Hindi, Buddhist country?

JFK was one of the most popular presidents and he did not let his Catholic religion influence his decisions. I am afraid that some of the candidates would allow their religious beliefs affect their decision making.

No, not the facts the govt would have you believe.
The real facts.
Like are you aware that researchers at Harvard University just released a study that shows that the active ingredient in marijuana cuts lung cancer tumor growth in half?
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070417193338.htm

The govt lies to us about marijuana because they have poured so much $$$ into keeping it illegal and spreading propaganda that it is too late to turn back now.

Zeitgeist has been out for almost a year now and it has been in Google's top 10 video for a while now.

The topic of 9/11 is not going away now that it has come out that the CIA obstructed the 9/11 Commission from properly investigating 9/11 and also people are now starting to die from cancers and respiratory ailments because first responders were told that the air was safe to breathe.

The myth of 9/11 seems to be falling apart and it is apparent that more and more people are coming around to the fact that they were lied to.

I just finished an interview with the state and I understand that it can take a while for them to select a candidate or canditates. However, the position that I applied for is a tax clerk and from what I understand they will be in need of people soon. Does this mean they can speed up the process or can they still take months to hire someone. Thanks in any help I can get.

Instead, Bush has become Mr. Relevant, and it's almost entirely due to the political malpractice of Pelosi and Reid.

George Bush should send nice Christmas cards to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. The pair have done more for Bush's reputation that the three Republican-controlled Congresses that preceded the 110th.

Who'd have thought it, Pelosi and Reid have transformed Bush into a spending hawk. In the first five years of his presidency, Bush could barely find his veto pen. Now, however, freed of the burden of defending a free-spending Republican Congress, Bush has discovered his inner Reagan and decided to fight for budgetary discipline -- and the Democrats realize that they can't beat him.

Perhaps Bush should send them some holiday fruitcake as well.

What say you?

I want to join the US Air Force. Should I enlist now and start my career or should I go to college, take ROTC, and become an officer. I am a Junior in High School so I have a little bit of time to think about it. I have been offered a ROTC scholarship and I am wondering if I should go to college and later join the USAF as an officer or enlist now.

I just don't understand how in the late 19th century and early 20th century we had people from eastern and western Europe migrating to the US. Even though people at first opposed immigration eventually accepted them in society. So explain me why is everyone making such a big deal about illegal aliens from Latin America. Is it likely that the US will eventually accept them like they did with the Italians, Irish, Germans etc....

A young man I know signed on to the Navy a few months ago but is not scheduled to go in until after the 1st of the year. He has had too much time to sit around and think about it and now he is having regrets. He is thinking of just not showing up. I am concerned about him and the consequences he may face. If I could present the consequences to him as fact maybe his thinking about not showing up will turn around. If anyone can give me some advise on how to talk with this young man and present the facts to him it would be appreciated.

We were in a deal to sell a house where the purchasers agent acted as dual agent because we were giving up and about to rent the property after being on the market for 6 months. Need less to say it was a nightmare. The home inspector broke our furnace boiler which in turn flooded our house. It is a he said she said thing so we sucked it up and moved on. That same worthless inspector scared our buyers by telling them that the foundation was shot. So we are smart and educated people offered to have a engineer come in. The agent wanted us to use their person because he could come in faster and quoted me a cost of between $300-$400 for it so we agreed. I tried numerous times to get the price but the agent told me not to worry about it needless to say the deal fell apart and now this guy is trying to bill us $750 which he lowered to $510 after we flipped out. I told him I do not think I should have to pay more than the quoted amount and he is saying he is goin to put a lien on the house

I am all for taxing the corporations and sticking it to them but do they have a plan besides raising the minimum wage which won't help many people.
Will this only force more jobs out of the country.
