I just finished an interview with the state and I understand that it can take a while for them to select a candidate or canditates. However, the position that I applied for is a tax clerk and from what I understand they will be in need of people soon. Does this mean they can speed up the process or can they still take months to hire someone. Thanks in any help I can get.

When a vacancy occurs, hiring will be immediate to fill-up the position so that public service will be unhampered.
