Prohibition opened the door for organized crime to flourish,backyard distilleries to poison the public,and the US government to expand to try and control the result.
And before he repealed the 18th Amendment, do you think FDR ever lacked for a quick nip ?

I agree with batfoot1 & it would also be bad for the economy.
Alchol consumption is pretty high, it would be like taking candy from a baby. Besides what would happen to pursuing a higher education.....too many students would drop out of college. LOL

Do you think the beer companies would allow this? I believe this is the main reason pot has not been legalize. A lot of beer drinkers have claimed they would smoke pot if it was legalized. This would cut into the beer companies' profit.
I would rather have people who did not drink around me. But, I don't believe this should be forced.

A ban on booze would be the same as a ban on abortion. Black markets would flourish in each case, standards would fall, lives would be at risk. Bad move. Against.
