I wanted to thank everyone who answered my last questions about my husband's I-485 (Adjustment of Status) and immigration interview! I do have another question, however, regarding my husband's Work Permit (I-765)...

Ok, here's the thing - my husband filed for his Work Permit (I-765) waaay back in June of this year. After about 4 months of not hearing anything, we contacted the Immigration Offices and found out that there was some sort of "hold" placed on my husband's paperwork. (Apparently, someone at the Immigration Offices forgot to lift this hold, after we had sent them the paperwork to their "Request for Initial Evidence".)

The question is: It has been *6* months since we filed for my husband's work permit, and we have not seen, nor heard *anything* about his work permit! (I, personally, have called the Immigration Offices *4* different times - but I really don't get much of answer!)

Does anyone know if there's anything we can do? My husband's work permit will expire soon! :-(

However why do they always wish to do it at taxpayer expense? (Meaning through the government that is.) Is it that you know no other way? I'm not trying to be mean in my inquiry. I'm just curious.

Do you think this is acceptable? My school accepts a person who has been convicted on four counts of drug possession, one count of sexual assault, four counts of armed robbery, and three counts of aggravated assault to speak as a guest speaker about HIS life and how he lived it/got out of it.

The school said that it was meant to teach teens to stay away from the gangs, but I think they just glorified gang life for the high school students.

Do you think this is acceptable?

Why do cops ask questions that they already know the answer too?, it's stupid. Like the question I find the most stupid is "have you ever been arrested before?", can't they find out for themselves?, c'mon, they have access to all our records, information, etc.

I get a bit miffed seeing such allusions to horror. These people can just live - as all do - in their own environment.

If that environment isn't to their liking, they can change it.

I mean there has got to be something seriously wrong with Hillary (who would be propelling women not only in America but around the world to new heights by becoming US President & the most powerful person in the world not to mention the historic nature of the event) if Oprah the most powerful woman in America & maybe the world endorses a man/Obama for President and not Hillary what does that say about Hillary?

Might it be because Hillary supports men who cheat on there wives (multiple times) just so she doesn't ruin her chances of getting elected to be President?

i have been reading and hearing people here on yahoo, google, on the MEDIA that is accused to be too pro israel, say that the israelis are trying to destroy the United states. But the fact is that when there is no one to challenge you, you become strong.
For a while now, i have been asking my self 'Is there an arab lobby?'. if there is, where are they? what do they lobby? how do they get funded? are they even funded? well i did research and i found out theat there is(are) arab lobby(s). these lobby get funded by saudi arabia. if you are getting funded by oil rich saudi arabia, why dont you bet news coverage? why dont people hear abou you? why is your lobby so weak? Well i wondered until i read this.

the fact is that the arab lobby is well funded. but they send their lobby funds over to hamas for jihadist purposes, where as the Jewish lobby puts in hard work and effort to push a good cause.
