I get a bit miffed seeing such allusions to horror. These people can just live - as all do - in their own environment.
If that environment isn't to their liking, they can change it.

Is this a mis post. Shoud this be "Family and Xmas" or ?
The melodrama is superbly exteme but the idea and point are keenly intact.
As in most things having to do with family and life with family, 1 in 20 set of parents ruins it for all others. Noisy, hyped up, out of control kid raises heck on the airplane, while dad dozes after his "small bottle" shooter and Mom just turns it all off and reads Madmoselle, dreaming of how her life used to be before she had 3 kids.
The rest of the world around them suffers in silence ...but for the screams of the Banchy child who plays for their pari's attentions but never receives.
