It is interesting, but I don't think issues really matter when choosing a President.
The number of "issues" a President can actually do anything about are vanishingly small. This time a round the war weighs heavy--I will not vot for someone who opposes prosecuting the war--but that's actually something the President can effect.
I got a 80.91% match with Romney and Tancredo on issues. I still plan to vote for Thompson, who it seems I only agree with 65% of the time.
Found a different calculator I find more accurate.
http://www.votehelp.org/
Shows me at a 91.5% match with Fred Thompson.

With rise of population, this spawns other beliefs’, principles’ and moral codes, is there a need for more state reprenstives in the senate, and congress. With increase of lobbyist and self interest groups, who force gray of products selling benefits without its moral, principles, belief prices.
America is based on independent thought, and acceptance of opinion in hopes of a belief of a greater good. But yet picking sides is a like choosing what is let of a double bladed sword based on own moral, principles’, and beliefs’. So where is the chair for the independent's in representive's for states, where is the middle, where is the gray, we live in the gray so where is it? 2 minds are better then one, but isn’t 3 minds better then 2. ) wouldn’t they be the independent out the idea of love for all based on there ideals and ability to accept universal truths. For some there greed in the idea love conquers all for they are idealists.
Honesty is the best policy, but lairs prosper.
A idea is pure
A ideal is gray
A idealist is greedy.

that fact there is so few independences shows the answer. the nonacceptance's of universal truths that these great people teached. That a independent represents shows how off balance it is...doesn't it?
to many cooks may spoil a stew. placed within each state rep(democrate or republican)
but a true indipendent is there to keep the stew in check and make it become all that more zestful and sweet.

Huckabee supporter myself.
I got McCain as 91%, Huckabee second. Not surprising, as I agree with McCain perhaps more often than Huck. It's the age factor that leans me away from McCain.

It says I am a 91% Match for Fred Thompson but I don't buy it.
I put HIGH on Yes for Fair Tax so I don't know why it would pick someone who does not support the Fair Tax.
I played with it for a while and I don't think that a simple yes no on each issue will cut it.
I oppose federal stem cell research but not because I think it's murder but because I think that the government should not fund medical research.
I oppose same sex marriage because I don't think the government should issue marriage licenses, your church should.
I will stick with Mike Huckabee.
According to me he is a 90% match.

Interesting site. I bookmarked it.
Senator Christopher Dodd turned out to be my best match, a person I hadn't even thought about voting for---78.95%---so I was surprised at that. Clinton and Obama, who I am debating between, both came in at 73.68%.
