I was wondering if the success rate of women in government make america more ready to elect a female president? Why or why not?

I would hope that your average American wouldn't care of the gender of a President. As long as that person has the best interest of America at heart! I agree with farmgirl, the only successful woman I see in government is Condi Rice.

America is certainly ready for a female President, but Hillary isn't her. Mainly because I don't think she wants to be the President. She just wants to be the first female President.

Pelosi became the first female Speaker of the House for the same reason, and she had her former supporters protesting outside her house within two months of taking office.

Not really, Hilary basically clawed her way up there. If anything she shows the lack of success of women in government, as she basically used her husband's career to further herself, with little to nothing of her own merit.

You can literally count the successful women in government on your fingers, Nancy Pelosi, and Condoleezza Rice coming to mind.

Sorry Sis, but the only woman in government that has what it takes to be a good president is C. Rice and she ain't a runnin'. If you're thinking Hillary, all she is good at is bullsh-ting. Early on she learned that "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then, baffle them with ********" and she has had lots of practice.
