Question: My 17 y/o daughter is now talking to a recruiter thanks to her friend LOL. I looked at the weight requirements and she is about 10 lbs. over for a 5'4" female (it's 137).

HOWEVER, her jeans are a size 9, she is not what I would even consider chubby, as she is very active and has muscle, and her breasts are a 36DD so you know where that ten pounds is coming from. The body fat limit is 30% and I highly doubt she is over that considering she wears a 9 on the bottom and has a 36 bra.

Will they waive her ten lbs. over, or will she have to be 137 by the time she LEAVES basic training?

The gay community placed these coupons in salvation army kettles. It seems a type of vandalism or fraud or littering.

Perhaps no one called them on it.It is reprehensable to do that to the bell ringers.

SANFORD - The 10-year-old girl was on her way to the store. It was dusk, and she was on an errand -- to buy macaroni for dinner.

She had borrowed her brother's scooter, the old-fashioned kind, and was gliding down the sidewalk. She had decided against taking a shortcut through the woods.

"It was starting to get dark," she told jurors Tuesday.A man stepped out of the woods, a stranger. He said "Hola," hello in Spanish, then put his arm around her shoulders and began pulling her into the woods. She resisted, she said, and he grabbed her by the ponytail and dragged her backward into the dark. The attack happened Nov. 1, 2003, in Casselberry. At the time, Rosales, an undocumented worker in construction from Guatemala, was homeless, according to authorities.

What are bulletproof vests made of? Does every single US soldier in Iraq wear one? And I read this article about how a bullet "went through" the bulletproof vest of a soldier in Iraq. How could he get shot if he was wearing a bulletproof vest? Are bulletproof vests really bulletproof then? Thanks if you can answer any of these questions!

I thought I heard him claiming it's all Bill's fault - can't these guys ever come up with more orignial excuses for their failures? We've been hearing that Bill caused the post 9/11 recession, and that his moral failings are his wife's fault, and now this? When do they get over Bill Clinton?

The statement I received was dated in late October 2007, and they are trying to say that I did not pay my $30 copay from July 2006. I have no proof that I did pay this, (I honestly cannot remember that long ago) but I don't understand why they didn't send this through to me much sooner then if it wasn't paid?! Is there some sort of limit on the time they have to send me an invoice for payment (like 1 year)? I am not just trying to get out of paying this, but I feel like they are taking advantage of their position and trying to get more money... if I don't pay it then, I am afraid they will send it to collections... I have great credit so I don't want to jeopardize that, but I also don't just want to give into something I don't believe is right!

Please help, thank you!

Why would you decide to believe something when there are ways to find out the truth and Know something. When there's not a way to find the truth, then why jump to conclusions and not find a way to find the truth? Should ever be allowed to base an argument on belief? Belief that you are strong is not going to win an arm wrestling competition. You have to qualify to compete, why shouldn't you have to qualify to take part in making decisions.

Why do you choose to keep beliefs? If they have anything to do with feeling safe or happy, then that's ok. But stay out of debates and decision making with them.

Opinions on the other hand can sometimes be justified. But that's not to be confused with "It's my opinion that it will snow" when in fact it's your belief... not your opinion. Opinions are only opinions when based on experience and knowledge that's been put together to come up with a conclusion.

They keep saying that everything is fine and that the economy is doing super duper great. But that doesn't match the reality on the ground. When the economic malaise was confined to the lower middle classes, it was easy for everyone else to ignore. But the economic malaise has creeped into the middle middle classes and maybe even higher. Well-off people can see it everywhere, maybe even see it in their own lives. How can there be such a huge disconnect between government numbers and reality? Am I the only one who sees it?
