..because eliminating "enemies" with nuclear weapons is the declared intent..

You cant make a "cake" without all the NECESSARY INGREDIENTS
simply put...without enriched uranium, there is now way to PRODUCE a nuclear warhead.
Once all ingredients are available...THEN the
production facility/program is brought on line.
..The delivery system already exists
(large missile (which they already have and ARE working on new design)
Until they have adequate uranium, An active nuclear weapons "facility/program/production plant" is a waste of resources.
It would be like turning on the oven, measuring out ingredients, selecting pans,or other additions, making frosting
then sitting in the kitchen bemoaning the fact that there will be no cake today because there are no eggs availble..
ONCE eggs are available and delivered, then production is a snap. Delivery is also quite easy

People are unbelievable. This report changes nothing. Right now Iran is trying to enrich uranium. What good is a nuke program if you can't enrich uranium? So they put the program on the back burner. If they gain the ability to enrich uranium, they can restart their nuke program again. The report goes on to say that Iran could get nuke capabilities in the next 3-7 years. Hello!! That is not that far away. That will be during the next president's tenure, especially if they are a 2 term president.

we can't invade Iran. we do not have the money, and we've our palms finished attempting to "win" a conflict in Afghanistan. we additionally attempt to maintain the Taliban from taking on the nuclear-powers of Pakistan. those are our prompt targets and invading Iran might only burden us to a factor of no return. we can attempt to get the UN to approve heavy sanctions for Iran. Sanctions many times injury the wide-unfold public extra advantageous than all people else, yet we do not have the different selection. we are able to additionally inspire the revolt in Iran, that could optimistically bring about a Revolution and a transformation of government. Our encouragement shouldn't comprise any attempt to infiltrate that u . s . a . with our own innovations of u . s . a . construction. We easily ought to have discovered some thing from the invasion of Iraq. If possible, conferences between the leaders of countries might bring about some form of compromise. Iran's possession of nuclear means impacts not purely Israel and our u . s . a ., yet each and every u . s . a . in Europe. those leaders ought to get on the bandwagon and do their section in looking a non violent answer to the concern of Iran.

Be careful I have already been reported for answering a similar question. It seems that by questioning Iran's motives means that you are breaking TOS in YA. But you have an excellent question, the only answer is that Bush has been right and they want weapons grade uranium.

For the same reason that others enrich uranium, its like refining oil, why do they refine oil? to use it as a fuel. Its always more economic to do something yourself than purchasing it from others!
other than that, in case of another sanction prohibiting uranium export to Iran they wouldn't have to shut down the plant.
Are all bushes so dumb??

Iran refused that offer because they dont want to be controlled by another country, if they purify nuclear in iran, it will be easier for them.

Do they?
Because Bush says so I suppose is why you ask that question. I hope thats not why!
WMD lies from Bush will lead the US into looking like asses again when we go in and dont finde anything five years later (sound familiar - Iraq)
The Iranian nuclear program was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program.
After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the government temporarily disbanded the program, and then revived it with less Western assistance than during the pre-revolution era. Iran's current effort includes several research sites, a uranium mine, a nuclear reactor, and uranium processing facilities that include a uranium enrichment plant. The Iranian government asserts that the program's goal is to develop nuclear power plants, and that it plans to use them to generate 6,000 MW of electricity by 2010.
The U.S. and some other nations' officials allege the program covers an attempt to acquire nuclear weapons. As of November 15, 2007, however, the IAEA has seen "no concrete information" that this is the case.
Iran's officials have also categorically denied the accusations and insist that they will maintain their right to peaceful nuclear technology. The November 2007 US National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) judges that "in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program" due to international scrutiny from Iran's previously undeclared nuclear work and that the program remained halted as of mid-2007. The estimate further judges that US intelligence does not know whether Iran "intends to develop nuclear weapons", but that Iran would be unlikely to achieve nuclear weapons "capability before 2013 because of foreseeable technical and programmatic problems".

Hey heres one for the idiots out there:
In 2006, the Bush administration also proposed the Reliable Replacement Warhead program, which is now in the process of design and development, to develop an entirely-new family of nuclear ICBMs
The Reliable Replacement Warhead (RRW) is a controversial new American nuclear warhead design and bomb family that is intended to be simple and reliable and provide a long lasting, low maintenance future nuclear force for the United States. It is also the project name for the ongoing United States Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) design project, started in 2004, to develop those designs.
On March 2, 2007, a design from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was selected as the first RRW program warhead design, which will now enter a "Phase 2A" definition and cost analysis development phase, and receive a warhead model designation number in 1-2 years.

How come we can develope newer and better Nuclear arms and command other countries not to attempt nuclear POWER PLANTS. Hell why do we need newer, better bombs to begin with. Dont our old ones do the job (especially when we DICTATE who can and can not involve themselves with Nuclear research)?

LOOK AT FACTS, NOT THE GOSPEL(LIES) OF AN ANTI-AMERICAN SATANIC DICTATOR NAMED BUSH!
