I heard about a zogby poll today that said if we all voted today for the next president, well, they didn't say who would win, just that the polling said that Ron Paul (R-TX) would beat Hillary Clinton. I like what Ron Paul says over Hillary, but, what do you think?

I set to join the Navy Nuke program and I was wondering after ALL the schools and I graduate, where might I be stationed. Im from south Georgia and would not like to be somewhere acroos the country or overseas.Other than Norfolk, VA, are there any other naval bases on the east coast that Nucs might have a choice of being stationed at? Also I would like to know, are the homeports of many nuclear aircraft carriers only the ports where they could be docked at for the 6months intervals? I' meaning could a ship from Norfolk be in port at Mayport, Fl and I get that as my Naval Station.

i am having a hard choice in choosing between these the 2. if i join the army i want to go special forces no doubt. but i have wanted to join the marines for a really long time. many of the people i know were marines and i would like to be part of it. i want the whole pride thing. i dont mind the basic training, i just want to know which i should join in my situation. i made an 85 on my asvab if that helps at all...

It all happened when I got lost. I was rushing through the streets and stumbled upon a bad neighborhood and got lost. I backed up and I hit some guy. I think he was either a drug addict or homeless. He was shouting at me but I did not understood a word he was saying. I got away as kickly as possible (some of these people carry guns) and hit a white guys car. This suburban guy was obviously in search of drugs.

He wrote my license plate and I don't konw what to do.
Should I get a lawyer? I was thinking of representing myself.

Will the homeless/crack addict sue me? Will the white suburban kid sue me?

So heres the scenario. Im out with my friends in manhattan and im caught brown bagging a beer. The thing is, im not stupid. I saw the police officers so i covered up my beer and i wasnt drinking or showed any signs of being drunk. I was actually pretty sober (it was only 1/4 of a beer). The cop stops me and asks what's in my bag. Due to some video's on youtube i asked the cop if he needed a warrant to check my bag, He then took my bag and said no i dont and found the beer. Then his partner reached into my jacket and pulled a water bottle out 1/4 stuffed with a screwdriver mix. ( I did not hand him over the bottle, he just took it). He then says that since im such a smart *** about the warrant question he gives me 2 summons. So now im wondering what do i do now.

1) Am i right? do you need a warrant to check someones bag? There was no visible evidence

2) There is no fine amount on my tickets, What does this mean?

I am going to join the marines when i get out of collage. Now, i am a sophmore in collage , but I cant decide between officer or enlisted. I know people allways say "be an officer because they get more money and respect" but I really want to be on the front lines. My goal is to go for force recon and if i dont make it just the regular infantry.

This lawyer I know is a family friend. He helped me incorporate my company and gave me the paper to send in myself to the company all lawyers use, cutting off the fee that he would normally charge his clients.

I paid the same fee that he would have paid if he had done it for me (as a normal client), but I would have had to pay the 'lawyer's fee', as well.

Does it make sense to give him a gift equal to the amount of money he saved me, or is that too much and something else will do? Also, I was thinking of giving him a $100-$200 bond, plus a nice fruitbasket/or chocolates. Is that too much?

P.S. I want to retain a good relationship for his future help (not that I'm expecting it for free again, but it just might be).

Hi All,

I am a junior foreign trained lawyer who left Australia in July this year. I have not obtained employment yet (due to restrictions on my visa) and plan on taking the Bar in July next year in New York. I figure with the amount I have to learn I will not be prepared in time for the Feb exam (esp considering I have a holiday planned in december as well)

Anyway I am thinking of not obtaining employment and just focusing on studying until then (luckily my husband is supporting me).

What I want to know is, do you think having a big gap on my resume is going to be a problem when looking for work? I will end up having over 1 year off work (because of both visa issues and studying for the bar). Do you think it will cause problems for me in finding future employment? Another problem is that I am in living in Hawaii atm and there is a great lack of legal jobs available.

If we invade Iran, can we expect Venezuela to come across the Caribbean Sea, gather some Cuban allies, and then cross the Gulf of Mexico and/or the Atlantic Ocean to attack/invade the United States?

Has anyone else seen someone undeserving get a purple heart or combat action badge? Ive seen both and it pisses me off to see a soldier get a purple heart for something not even brought on by enemy contact. Ive also seen soldiers deserving not get medals. Just pisses me off.
