I heard about a zogby poll today that said if we all voted today for the next president, well, they didn't say who would win, just that the polling said that Ron Paul (R-TX) would beat Hillary Clinton. I like what Ron Paul says over Hillary, but, what do you think?

If you merely "heard" it, I think your source was probably mistaken. Having seen other Zogby polls, I would want to see a link to that poll before I would take someone elses word. That result seems extraordinarily different from what most of the Zogby polls have been showing.

In the Zogby poll released on November 21, 2007, Representative Paul is polling a mere 5% among Republicans in the race for the Republican nomination.

What your source might be referring to is a blind bio poll that Zogby did of the resumes of Romney, Giuliani, Paul, and Thompson for a Texas based company. In that blind bio poll, while Giuliani's resume did best among Republicans, Paul's bio did best among Democrats and Independents. However, this poll only included the resumes of these four Republicans and did not include the resumes of any of the Democrats.

Zogby has been quite willing to issue releases showing Paul gaining. The lack of a release as to the poll that you refer to makes me believe it didn't happen.

Part of that, I think, is that Paul is a relative unknown, so for some people that question is "Hillary vs. Random Republican" and the anti-Clinton bile can seethe through.

For anyone who knows Paul's anti-war and anti-big government positions, though, I think the comparison to Hillary's slog-it-out war plan(at great expense) and pay for your neighbor's medical services makes Paul come out smelling like a rose.

There are six computer gurus who have assigned formulas and their computers will generate a ranking of all teams. Theses tally's are all taken together (with the high and low score dropped) and they account for 1/3 of the BCS tally. Each computer has a slightly different formula. Each computer accounts for strength of schedule. Some give more credit to a road win or a win against a winning team. Winning margin is no longer considered in the computer polls.

I like what Congressman Paul says OVER all the other candidates.. he is one of the few providing any real clarity on our foreign policy and domestic issues.. these results don't surprise me..

A brief overview of his record:
He voted against the Iraq war.
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He is a strong advocate of free trade.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
He voted against the Patriot Act.
He opposes invading Iran.
He opposes amnesty for illegals.
He will drastically reduce the debt the United States is in, by reducing government spending.. taking the burden off taxpayers.
He voted NO to the amendment banning gay marriages.
He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Thank you for the question!

I would hate to see Ron Paul as president. Agree with a lot of his views, but some are way out there. STILL, I would rather have Kerry over Hillary and Kerry make my stomach turn.

As a economic and social conservative I'd hat to see any of the top three Democratic presidential contenders in office.

As for Ron Paul as president, his libertarian ideas make him unacceptable to me.

I am sure a zogby poll did not indicate that. Unless they were just polling YA members.
