Like Maya Angelou (sp) or Bill Gates or Dr. Cornel West etc. or at least the people in government confered with more scholars before making decisions that have such an impact on the country and the world?

Have you ever known or encountered someone in your life who you thought should run for office because you were so impressed by their persona and their beliefs?

My godmother designated my mother as her power of attorney a few years ago. Over the past year, she has been verbally abusing my mother and making unreasonable demands upon her, which is taking a toll on my own mother's health. I was curious if my mother has the right to "surrender" her P.O.A. status? How would she go about doing it?

I made this for an extra credit project with some friends, wanted to see what other people thought of it.
Its supposed to be based in 1914 (which was pretty hard with all the technology we have now), and i did the best i could with windows movie maker while making this..

I'm attempting to send a letter to an attorney whom I have never met. He was involved in a now-settled case involving a close family friend and I'd just like to send him a note (not hate mail or anything).

How can I go about locating his mailing address? I'm assuming that I'd just need to send it to his office, I know he works for the government and lives/works in Chicago, but is there some sort of a business directory I can consult to find the exact address?

I'm writing a story for school. It is a satire on how capitalism is a corrupt economic system. I need to use an extreme example of capitalism and I want it be symbolic and I need it so at the end they all live under a government that values equality. I need to know how that would happen.

tenure at the post office, various departments, the cushy benefits of surly, arrogant public servants have gone way past what was ever intended. damn the suckers even if it was my own brother. my post man is areal smug sob.

the woman at the irs sucks. they are sobs and the people that sit on the hill, the judges and the rest feed at the public trough nd act like sobs and grow fat. enough! no deals, they gotta go. let them start over from scratch like i have had to do more than once. one of many, many agry voters. how many are there like me iwonder.

I always wanted to join the marines. When i was little i always wanted to join the army. But currently my family disapprove that i should join. I live in a strict family since im asian. Asian parents are very strict about things and abusive in ways. But i still love em. I just dont know what to say to my parents. They say things and always put me down as well as my brother. I have a 2.00 GPA since i was slaking off to much in school. Im still a junior and i know that im not gonna pass the SAT and no SU gonna accept. Since its a 3.00 or higher. I wish i could change it. I regret it. But now i have to face it. I want to major in Law enforcement since i want to help people in my society and help those in need. I wanted to join the marines and later on go to a community college and later transfer in to a SU or UC majoring in law enforcement. Is this a wise decision? Can u guys give me advices what i should do.

Gotten a couple calls in the last few days from -

These calls come to my cell phone. I know no one in these area codes so I know now who they are coming from.

What I do is keep the Spanish speaking recording on the line, then when a person comes on I explain to them in my bad Spanish and English combination that I am not interested in what they are selling. This is two fold- it keeps them from calling someone else in that time and it might eventually get through to someone that understands English.

AT&T has told me that they can do nothing about the calls, but I plan on calling them every time I get one of these calls, just to annoy them and maybe then they will do something about the solicitors.

Also I have registered my phone at - www.donotcall.gov/ in order to get off these people's call list.

I have nothing against Spanish speaking people, just solicitors (whom I think are the bane of everyone - kinda like lawyers).

Hi,

My question is that I'm an Italian national living in the UK with my family and our passports expire on the 23th of this month (November) but I contacted the embassy to renew the passport but they gave me an appointment for mid-January. Would there be any problems if my passport is expired until the date of the appointment? or would I be treated like if I was illegal? I've been living in the UK for 9 years and I'm Italian (therefore I have an EU passport).
