The economy was awesome 8 years ago. There was a surplus, not a trillion dollar deficit. There was no war killing thousands of Americans, thousands in a dwindling coalition, and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis in the quest to take out a few hundred terrorists that weren't even in the country until after we got there.

Oh, and no one cared about the icebergs and glaciers.

Yes and no. Taxes, the role of government, and the economy will always be points of discussion. Foreign policy issues will change with the times, as remember 8 years ago 9/11 was just the 11th day in September.

yes some of the issues that still need to be addressed 8 years ago are being addressed now and probably will be an issue forever...like health care,taxes and things like that...but there are new issues like obviously the war in iraq, darfur, iran nuclear weapons, immigration, national secruity, alot of things...to answer your question yes we are discussing some issues from 8 years ago and will probably be issuses 8 years from now..but they is many new issues and challanges this country needs to face..

No, We have a much weaker economy than we did in 2000. We are in the midst of a War in the wrong Country. Our dollar is not worth the money its printed on and we are the most hated Country on Planet Earth.
