How dare you challenge Rudy Giuliani? Don't you know that his experiences after 9/11 have prepared him for every possible scenario that presidency could throw at him?

I'd be doing exactly the same thing I'm doing now. The events of 9/11 would have gone on as they did no matter who the mayor was. I do get a bit tired of Rudy using 9/11 to try to gain the presidency.

Do I detect a smidge of SARCASM here?
Where would *I* be if Giuliani hadn't been mayor on 9/11???
I cannot understand your question... it makes NO sense to me. As a native "east coaster" (from NJ in particular) I grew up "watching" Giuliani's career. From the beginning, I have liked what I've seen, and still do. I realize he's had some rough "bumps" in his personal life, but shall we talk about the Clinton'N'Clinton show by comparison?
Where do YOU think YOU would be?
Have a right-wing day.

Since I don't live in NY I would be exactly where I am now. Maybe you should listen to some of the people who had to deal with him in the aftermath of 9/11. They are not exactly fond of him. As for the firefighter who defended him, it cost the former mayor $1,500 for that endorsement.

We might have been better off. Our society might have been less repressive, and maybe we would have focused on taking out Al Queda rather than invading Iraq. Also if Giuliani had not been Mayor the fire fighters may have received better equipment and would not have been demoralized by being arrested for trying to dig out the dead from the ruins.

Who knows. The events that could have prevented the existense of Rudy Giuliani might have also prevented my existense. Maybe that instead of marrying Rudy's mother, Rudy's father might have married my mother in which case neither of the two of us would have been born. Or maybe he would have married your mother thus leaving your mother free to marry my father had they met. SO you see there is no end to this kind of what ifs.

A different mayor might have listened to the recomendation to get the emergency response department out of the Trade Tower. Giuliani is anything but a hero.

Ask Giuliani about his connection to Monte Carlo P2 member Georgio Hugo Balestrieri in regards to 911. What do you think he would say ?

Actually, it happened in 2001, like six years ago.
I don't think it was him by himself that helped---he had publicists, writers, etc. And then there were all those other leaders that helped and of course, people in your life that helped you get through.
I think its sad, though, that he feels he should run for president. Like, we need to look at everything he's done, not just then, and his opinion on different things.

You never know how a mayor will do. Look at the mess that happened in New Orleans because theirs sucked.
