Under the mis-administration of George W. Bush, it seriously surprises me that we are still standing. He has made us the most hated nation since Nazi Germany. This is a great country and we have a brave and noble military but the commander in chief is incompetent at best. He has caused the deaths of many of America's best with a war that never should have started. Only his stubborn attitude keeps it going on. We need a total change of administration to get this country strong again. I don't know about Venezuela's strength of military but I don't want to bet our lives on their assistance. I hope this country survives Bush and his thugs.

All nations fall. It's a historically proved probability. If you are asking if the U.S. will fall anytime soon, then no. Not because we are the greatest or the best, but because we are fundamentally stable. Yes we have a lot of debt but so do most nations. Our military is still a force to be reckoned with and as a whole we are educated people. I'm not sure when or why the U.S. will crumble but it won't be today or tomorrow, so why worry?

Yes to the first question . Well on our way to being like the Soviet Union, just before it fell . Militarily formidable, but otherwise way behind & bankrupt in so many other areas . (Esp. in "green" technology /energy policy)
Venezuela ?Cuba? =)))))) Chavez & (Bush & Co.) are both waaaayyyyyy overstating the dispute*** . They'd have trouble invading Caracas , let alone another country .The problem with invading Iran is....... Iran . Look at a map/globe . It's much larger than Iraq , with 3 X the population . Insanity! ( not to mention the spike in oil prices that it would cause!)
**** The source of the friction with Venezuela, besides Chavez being a loudmouth a******? Right after he got elected ( with 80 % of the vote, btw, in a clean election - more than a certain other Pres. we know ;D) , Rumsfeld got caught red-handed , on tape, telling a would-be coup participant that we'd approve of overthrowing Chavez. I assume 'ol Rummy wasn't acting on his own , without at least Cheney's approval .

Yes,
I think that America will soon fall and not be the greatest nation anymore.
It's also stated in the Bible that nations will come against nations, wars and rumors of wars, etc.
We are in the endtimes and the rapture is coming.
America will probably fall down from the #1 nation... look how it's going now?
America can't even afford to pay it's debts, it's causing wars, it's causing health care issues and not providing affordable health care options. The social security fund is almost empty..
Terrible...

well... first off, we're comparing what we are going through to what we used to be...
we're struggling to keep up with our high levels of the past, but we're still doing better than most...
and I don't think Venezuella has enough of an Army to really attack to any real degree... they've been building up a little, but I don't think they have the money to really get anything big going...
and last, but not least, odds are one day we will fall, just as every other superpower has... I don't think it's going to be for a while though... at least a good 50 years at the soonest...

Eventually they might as they might not have the same drive as the nations that are trying to build up. As far as india and china taking over? Well I mean maybe technologically but on a battlefield usually white people are pretty crazy......one should not misunderestimate their insantity....very insane indeed and they'll breed like rabbits if need be

I've heard stories about India and China becoming the next big superpowers. I believe this is true because despite what people think, they're military technology is as advanced if not more advanced than the United States, not to mention their MUCH larger population. But you never know.

History showed that every empire collapsed. From great Britain to great Satan, from Roman to Nippon. Is the USA next?

I wouldn't worry about what other people think about us. Their ideas about us "falling" is wishful thinking. Study your history, we have been thru bad times before and we will again.

I think we are well on the way. What this current administration has done to the reputation of the US is despicable.
