There were only 2 Republican counter-examples offered:

1. Hillary's planted questions: I hated her even before this latest incident. By the way, here's another example of the Republicans generalizing..."all Democrats must love Hillary"...I never presume to know what candidate anyone likes

2. Claims that global warming played a role in worsening fires and hurricanes: this is one of those views I mentioned, that I would like to have an honest debate about how true or not these claims are. How is this anywhere near as ridiculous and mean-spirited as constantly saying or implying that Democrats essentially want their own families and our troops to be killed by terrorists

--SO AGAIN, IF YOU'RE SO SURE YOUR VIEWS ARE CORRECT, WHY NOT DEBATE THESE HONESTLY INSTEAD OF DEMONIZING--

I'm still open to counter-examples, go ahead convince everyone reading this that I'm wrong!

please list an EFFECTIVE(sp?) policy or policies of the Bush Administartion that you support and explain why. Please give a concise answer without getting sidetracked by making fun of a democrats name. i.e. Barak "Osama", Al "Bore", "something duragory that you managed to rhyme with Hillary" Clinton. I dont want to know what you dislike about Democrats. I want to know what policies of Bush you support and your justification. Thank you.

p.s. Please give something other than "fighting terrorists."

Luis Gonzalez-Mireles was punished more for being an illegal alien than for first-time drunken driving when he was sentenced to 93 days in jail, Circuit Judge Chad Schmucker ruled.

Schmucker found the sentence by District Judge Joseph Filip improper and disproportionate, and sent it back to District Court for an appropriate sentence.

In most cases, that means little or no jail time.
Gonzalez-Mireles, 21, of Ann Arbor was charged with drunken driving in Jackson on Dec. 18. Filip, citing the Mexican native's failure to seek citizenship here, issued a maximum sentence.

``I don't know any reason why as an illegal alien that we should spend money and services for you,'' Filip told Gonzalez-Mireles at his sentencing. ``You've done nothing but violate the law here.''

When lawyers for Gonzalez-Mireles motioned for resentencing, Filip reiterated that he did not appreciate illegal aliens thumbing their noses at America's immigration laws.

In his decision, dated Tuesday, Schmucker said he is sending the case to another district judge ``to preserve the appearance of justice and fairness.''

Both prosecutors and the probation department recommended no jail time at sentencing May 17.

``We believe this was an extraordinary case, for a person to be sentenced to the maximum on a first offense based on immigration status,'' American Civil Liberties Union attorney Michael Steinberg said Tuesday.

He argued the appeal on Oct. 7 before Schmucker.

Prosecutors contended Filip had latitude in sentencing based on past criminal acts, particularly living as an illegal alien for seven years. http://www.mlive.com/news/citpat/index.ssf?/base/news-22/1191593130156880.xml&coll=3

How can the ACLU defend this person? Doesn’t the “A” in ACLU mean American?? This illegal alien is NOT an American and is therefore not entitled to those “Civil Liberties” that the ACLU is trying to defend. Starting from the federal level, the judge should have had him deported because a federal violation should trump the state violation because it is a harsher crime committed.

We know the crimes they've committed, yet, they still both hold office.Treason is a high crime.Lying to the American people to go to war, outing CIA operates, invasion of privacy of Americans without cause, etc.Why aren't we protesting this present corrupt government? If Bill Clinton can be impeached for lying to Americans about a sexual incident that wasn't a matter of national security, why hasn't Bush been impeached for the thousands of lives that have been lost based on lies? For those who didn't remember the impeachment of Clinton, please go to my next question.I'm new at this.I brought up "Why didn't people recall... due to the responses I received.Clinton in my opinion was one of the greatest presidents of our time.I thought my questions were legit, but some people are just mean and think that sarcasims and put downs are answers and makes them look witty.

(1) He is just as bad, if not worst. Yet, many people will vote for him. (2) Do you approve of outright killing and murder? (3) Would the American people go along with this?

During World War II, Hitler killed 6 million Jews, God's people. Germans are Catholic (Christians) shouldn't they have know better? And how, then, did a maniacal Hitler come to power? How about George W. Bush? And the same goes for Rudy Giuliani. Hillary Clinton, though, labeled a Democrat is no different from these two.

Obama is green and HAS little or no integrity, when you challenge him, he falls down as it has been proven. Robertson, Kucinish, and Ron Paul seem to be a little crazy to many people. When you hear them speak, they seem like nutcases trying to do away with health care, social security, and the Internal Revenue Service.

What Kucinich is doing by trying to have Cheney impeached is a good move on his part. Ron Paul though being a far-fetched libertarian, is right on the Iraq War (best candidate).

All refernces to religion text should be removed from any aspect of the government. This includes the words "In God we trust" on American coins and the words "under God" In the pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Do you agree or disagree with this statement ? Is this a violation of church and state? If you could write a letter to your local newspaper that outlines your point of view, what would it be?

Is this continuing 'dislike of Bill' envy- or fantasy driven'? Or both?
During the 2000 and 2004 Presidential campaigns, we never heard any Democrat seriously saying 'Bush 41 (He of the 'read my lips' fame) said or did that, so we should not elect his halfwit son'.
The Democrats were too busy defending themselves against the now completely dysfunctional 'Neo-Con and Fox News Propaganda Machine'. (Thank God!)

Or is this 'obession with all things Bill' just that they (Neo-Cons and some Conservatives, both women and men, for obvious reasons) are just continuing to obsessively fantasise about a BJ with Bill?
Is their dislike of Bill envy- or fantasy driven'? Or both?

Go Hillary!
(Your (and Bill's) 'day of getting sweet revenge' is near!
And some people are becoming very worried.)

I am doing a paper for school and I need to figure out what a Liberal's view is on Freedom of Religion and what a Conservative's view is on Freedom of Religion. My question is "It is possible for religion to be completely taken out of politics? Yes or no, and what extent should it influence government policy? “

What is a good source on how I can find opinions from a Liberal's View and a Conservative's view? Or can anyone flat out tell me?
Thanks!
