There were only 2 Republican counter-examples offered:

1. Hillary's planted questions: I hated her even before this latest incident. By the way, here's another example of the Republicans generalizing..."all Democrats must love Hillary"...I never presume to know what candidate anyone likes

2. Claims that global warming played a role in worsening fires and hurricanes: this is one of those views I mentioned, that I would like to have an honest debate about how true or not these claims are. How is this anywhere near as ridiculous and mean-spirited as constantly saying or implying that Democrats essentially want their own families and our troops to be killed by terrorists

--SO AGAIN, IF YOU'RE SO SURE YOUR VIEWS ARE CORRECT, WHY NOT DEBATE THESE HONESTLY INSTEAD OF DEMONIZING--

I'm still open to counter-examples, go ahead convince everyone reading this that I'm wrong!

The existence of the Black Caucus, and Monica Lewinski…sorry, no
fivekids...
You offer no examples to support your contention that anyone cares more about the terrorists than American citizens
Sfavorite…
Your examples about Bush are lunatic fringe things that mainstream people don’t believe
Saying the Republicans are racist or only care about the rich is as crazy as my examples? No.
The only decent example you give is about S-CHIP…it does sound crazy to say that a party doesn’t care about sick children, but the fact of the vote leaves no doubt.
Nobody has yet given an example of how Democrats like terrorists

You don't really sound that open, and as upset as you are about Democrats being generalized and demonized, you seem to have a lot of generally demonizing things to say about Republicans.

But as far as Democrats and terrorists go, people do confuse the party with the ideology of letting the terrorists kill us. You are somewhat right. BUT the thing is, liberals, not the Democratic party but the liberal ideology, cares more about the terrorists well-being than American citizens'. We've seen this time and again. And since the Democratic party is largely the party of the liberals, this tag of caring more about terrorists than Americans has become attached to the Democrats, somewhat erroneously.

So there, a good counter-point. Are you happy now?

"All Democrats must love Hillary," and the slew of similar generalizations and stereotyping on this forum come from both sides of the isle. "All Republicans........(fill in the blank) or "All democrats.......(fill in the blank) are common lead-ins to a lot of questions. It might be more valid if used in conjunction with "In my opinion" or "It seems to me" and, instead of "all" perhaps "most" or "the majority" might be more appropriate.
Be that as it may, the general theme of the question is usually easily understood.
I doubt that any American wants our troops killed, and certainly not their own families, by terrorists, or anyone else for that matter. Statements such as these are usually a followup to some lame policy or initiation that essentially indicates a desire to lose this war.
As far as global warming - there is so much misinformation muddying up this debate from the opposing and supporting pundits that I doubt anyone can form a valid opinion one way or the other. I personally seriously doubt that any global climate change can be monitored over any ones life span and extrapolated to the centuries needed to facilitate such a cosmic change.
And, for what it's worth, with heating oil topping $3 a gallon in Maine - I have to quote George Bush - "Bring it on!"

If you want to discuss issues intellectually why are you not doing that? I am a conservative and would enjoy the discussion, instead you are calling Republicans intellectually dishonest.

Examples of the left doing that:
1) George Bush blew up the levies in New Orleans
2) Republicans don't want children to have health care (remember s-chip)
3) Republicans only care about the rich
4) Republicans are racist because they don't want illegal aliens
5) George Bush took down tower 7

Let me know if you need more examples.
---------------------------------------------------
Interesting...if you disagree with a "crazy" statement about Republicans then the speaker is "lunatic fringe" but if you agree it is because it is a true statment.

So if I don't think the government should pay for peoples/children's health care there is no doubt I don't want them to have health care (no this isn't a ridiculous statement). You don't want to discuss the merits of the program, debate if socialized medicine is better then what we have, is it fair to take someones income to pay another's bills...no you don't want to discuss the facts you want to accuse and call names.

You are the example you have been looking for.

What's the question?
1. Hitlary did cheat, she will be the nominee and you will vote for her over a Republican in the election. There is no debating this.

2. Global warming is a farce. Every credible meteorologist thinks so. Even the founder of the weather channel a world renowned meteorologist thinks so. You go ahead and follow Al Gore. Last time he took you on the Y2K bug ride. It was fun huh?

Intellectual dishonesty by dems: Ok you asked.

1) If a citizen wants immigration laws followed and to not grant amnesty in any way, that person is a "hate monger". not fair and not true.

2) Not even admiting that there are any long-term problems with Social Security. There are, try dealing with them.

3)Even though Medicare and Education spending are not a part of the constitution..pretending they are....OK there's 3.

How about the congressional black caucus? Democrats often say they want equality for all and talk about how minorities aren't treated fairly but at the same time they are practicing segregation at the highest levels of government.
