America has always been divided along racial lines, but increasingly it is divided among party lines. I grew up with a Black America and a White America, but now it seems that it is shifted to a Blue America and a Red America. Growing up in the 70s, I never thought politics would divide the nation so much. In the 70s there really was not much difference between Democrats and Republicans. But now there appears to be huge differences.

I am 17 years old. Today I was pulled over on the street next to my house. I was going 46mph in a 30 mph zone (RSA 265:60). The officer told me that I got off easy. He said to take the $100 fine and ticket, put them in an envelope and send them to the DMV asap. He said if I had any more violations he would contact the DMV. The ticket said I do not have to appear in court. I want to know if I am going to get a letter 2 months from now saying that my license is going to be suspended for # days. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Does the first amendment protect you from anything you want to say,or just what you want to say about the government?
Because I heard that it only protects you from criticizing and expressing your thoughts and opinions on government, I.E. I don tlike the presidents hair. And I don't like his wife...

Or does it apply to things like I can tell a stranger on the street that I think he's ugly?

I am 27 with a masters degree and I have been talking to a recruiter about enlisting. I got a D.U.I. about 6 years ago which i told him about. About 9 years ago I was charged with posession of marijuana and this charge was subsequently expunged. I thought this meant "wiped of my public record", however the enlistment application as for expunged or sealed records. I told the recruiter about the DUI already but should I tell him about the expunged marijuana charge also?? If I do, does this mean I will be disqualified from enlisting in the Air Force??

WASHINGTON -- Democrat Barack Obama said Sunday that if elected he will push to increase the amount of income that is taxed to provide monthly Social Security benefits.

Obama and other Democratic presidential candidates previously have signaled support for this idea.

But during an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Obama said subjecting more of a person's income to the payroll tax is the option he would push for if elected president.

He objected to benefit cuts or a higher retirement age.

"I think the best way to approach this is to adjust the cap on the payroll tax so that people like myself are paying a little bit more and people who are in need are protected," the Illinois senator said.

"That is the option that I will be pushing forward."

Currently, only the first $97,500 of a person's annual income is taxed. The amount is scheduled to rise to $102,000 next year.

Obama's proposal could include a gap or "doughnut hole" to shield middle-income earners from paying more in t

"...Reporters who have covered the hyper-vigilant campaign say that no detail or editorial spin is too minor to draw a rebuke. Even seasoned political journalists describe reporting on Hillary as a torturous experience. Though few dare offer specifics for the record--"They're too smart," one furtively confides. "They'll figure out who I am"--privately, they recount excruciating battles to secure basic facts. Innocent queries are met with deep suspicion. Only surgically precise questioning yields relevant answers. Hillary's aides don't hesitate to use access as a blunt instrument, as when they killed off a negative GQ story on the campaign by threatening to stop cooperating with a separate Bill Clinton story the magazine had in the works. Reporters' jabs and errors are long remembered, and no hour is too odd for an angry phone call. Clinton aides are especially swift to bypass reporters and complain to top editors..."

If "they" will never stop wanting to kill "us" isn't the only way to win (eliminate the possibility of an attack) to kill all of them?

Is my definition of vicotry too rigid? It is the only one that works based on the rhetoric I've heard over the last six years.

Consider this quuote from Ann Coulter as you answer:

There are thousands of Muslim extremists literally dying to slaughter Americans, and only three proven ways to stop them: , (2) capture them and keep them locked up, or (3) convince them that their cause is lost.

(1) Kill them (the recommended method)
