I am watching Lou Dobbs right now and it looks like Oklahoma is refusing to teach school in Spanish saving them 750 million $. The students have to learn English to keep up in school now. He said that some people have grown up in the U.S., graduated high school, and never learned to speak English. A federal judge is trying to change this back, but the governor is fighting it. That is exactly what we need to do is stop catering to these people. This is the United States for heaven sake! Its really shameful that the states are left to deal with this issue which is supposed to be dealt with at a federal level.

Well, its like this:
The GOP controlled the Congress for 12 years. In that time they had the power to enforce the law. And did nothing. They had the power to reform the immigration system. And did nothing. Then, last June, given an opportunity by Bush and theDemocrats to pass a conservative remorm bill, tey didnothing except block the bill.
The fact that we have 12 million undocumented immigrants in this country and a border tha tis not secure is a direct result of the failure of the GOP to do anything.
In 2009 we will get immigration reform. It will be a far more liberal bill, including amnesty and a guest worker program--which 2/3 of the American people favor. The bigots and racists on the right will whine and scream and threaten. Let them. They had over a decade to do something about the problem--and deliberately chose not to enforce the law orreform the system.
They had their chance.

Will ya'll give it a rest. There will be no decisive action against illegal immigrants. At least not nation wide. A few local efforts that may or may not get ruled on by the courts, that's it. 1) There is NOTHING we can do, right now, about it. Not enough man power, not enough money. 2) Speaking of money, our economy requires this cheap labor. To ship the illegals home would hurt businesses and you know that this administration is not going to let anything happen that makes big business unhappy. It is a wedge issue for politicians....that's all. It is for sound bites at election time. That's all. It's for TV ratings on FOX and Lou Dobbs becuase those who don't know any better get foamed up about it. Forget it.

Your source is an obviously biased one since they ask poll questions like "Does Al Gore really deserve a Nobel Prize?"
And no, the entire Congress is too timid to tackle the illegal immigration epidemic.

No. Any steps they take on the issue will be token. They remain comitted to Amnesty. Both parties. That won't change unless they are faced with actually losing power to some third party. And that probably /can't/ happen.

your source of news isn't a news source.
it is political propaganda that tries to keep convincing America how great your decider is.
and illegal immigration will cease when people and corporations stop benefiting from the cheap labor and services they provide for America..... which is never!!!!! so your point is futile!
