So that Democrats can celebrate a petty domestic political "victory", and blame any negative consequences--such as a resurgence of worse global terrorism, the degeneration of Iraq and the entire region, and the specter of having to go there again under worse conditions--on Bush. After all, anything THEY do can be blamed on HIM, right?

In the greater scheme of things--for us, and for Iraq--there are far more pros for STAYING than for tucking tail and leaving.

one answer i never see is the one that we need our troops home to help rebuild this countries infrastructure, Georgia is dry of water disasters on all coasts. and we need them here. also the contract labor super mercenaries that outnumber our troops. that is why we should leave and let Iraq pay for protection... not just in oil.

The war is illegal. Never declared by Congress, no WMD's, no links to Al-CIAeda, no threat to the US. I'm tired of this BS of we must spread democracy through the way of the gun. We've killed close to 1million Iraqi men, women and children using depleted uranium shells. Oh yes, they must love freedom...Wouldn't you if some outside country decided to kill off a bunch of your fellow citizens under false pretexts. I wouldn't. And worst of all, anyone who puts up a fight against our troops are labeled as "terrorists." Give me a break.
