I'm very soon going to be joining the Navy, and having trouble finding 1st hand information on jobs that are most rewarding, and highest sought once you out.. I took the ASVAB and scored an 88 on it. Im looking into the NUKE field, or possibly medical (more specific X-Ray tech), or even possibly intelligence. I was wondering If i do choose Nuke if there are many opportunities once i'm out, and how much MORE schooling i would need. Also when i spoke of my interest in medical, my recruiter didn't seem as gun-ho compared to Intel, or Nuke.. Any reason for that, or was it just the fact she came from Intel herself? Any help on this, or any recommendations as far as great jobs in the Navy would be fantastic!

My country is part of the European Union, and my visa interview is next week. My reason for going is just to visit friends in America. Will this be a good enough reason for getting the visa? I have documents from my university that will help convince them I will return to my country. Thanks a lot

why is it wrong for minors to drink? I'm 14, besides the fact that it's illegal, why should I not drink. Sheesh, as long as you don't go overboard it's always good for a little buzz. What is the problem? I can't drive anyway.

make a big deal about borders, border agents, and illegals entering from Mexico, yet have very few agents and fences to protect us from the white people entering via Canada?

In other words: if all illegal immigration is bad, why has no one proposed that we build a wall across our border with Canada, as many have proposed we do with our Mexican border?
I know we believe there are more illegals coming in from Mexico, but wouldn't that also be possibly flawed since we wouldn't truly know if our new white neighbor is from Oklahoma or Ontario.....it is not as if any new guy in town will announce he is illegal.
Your thoughts.....and thanks!!

Is it worth being corrupt in order to win your point of view? That still doesn't make you right does it? If you have to lie and use government crooks to get your way does that mean that you are more competent?

It bugs me that people vote by party. I know that most of the time the person that you agree with most is in your party... but do you even look at the people in the other party? most people probably do buy my grandparents (both of differing parties) don't...

i suppose it could be because i am independant... but what is your view on this? am i the only one bugged by this? do you do this? (don't worry... you aren't bad if you do this.. but just as a poll.. do you do this?)

If someone provides otherwise legal identification to an illegal alien does that make them an accessory to the illegal's activities? For example if a BMV branch manager gives licenses to illegal aliens while knowing they are illegals? I ask because the director of the IRS started a program to educate and provide tax id numbers to illegal aliens. He explicitly stated it was to help illegal aliens get jobs and pay taxes. Isn't this a crime on his part? Is there anything we can do about it?

I am a negotiator in the firm of Lester D.K.Chow and Associates. In 1990, we successfully secured Saddam's agreement to withdraw from Kuwait. Much much later, we tried to ask John Edwards as to his position on Iraq. He wouldn't answer. From what we can privately determine, he doesn't give a (blank) about the lives of the people of Iraq, if a million or so die "So, what!" was the implied response.

Sometimes, political candidates say things privately and not publicly. What a candidate feels deep in his heart or says tell us people what the man is made of and the kind of person he would be as President.

Some Democrats are two faced with the voting public. Other candidates are open and express their dismay and anger at terrorist (people fighting to defend their homelands from American aggression).

I like snnoogles would like to see a good person become the next US President.

John Edwards may fool some people, but I see him as being a hypocrite and a weasel! Especially, on Iraq.

I read this story about a boy who came here illegally when his mother sent for him. The boy came here when he was about 10. When he came, he americanized himself. He went to public school, learned English and made friends, dated girls and lived the life of an average American teen after he learned the language. He then completed something most illegal immigrants do not in their lifetime: he graduated high school. He planned to go to college but can't due to his immigration status. It said that he is now like an average American. In addition, he doesn't fit ANY of the illegal immigrant stereotypes. It said that he speaks fluent English, does not commit crimes, is smart and doesn't hate this country. Most of all, it said that he isn't and NEVER has been on public assistance (his family is here legally and work normal jobs and support him so he doesn't need it). So he is kind of just here. Do you think he should stay? If so, is there a way that he can?
