Have you heard of the Yom Kippur war in 1973, Israel vs a coalition of Arab nations....Egypt, Syria and Jordan. That was worse than the current situation.....it didn't raise a blip on the world war scenario (not that it didn't have the potention as a spark)...just relegated to the heap of regional conflicts between rump states. When the strategic super powers square off into two camps, then we can talk world war.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, proxy wars, and brinksmanship.... After the next world war, we'll be back into the stone age and you won't have to worry whether a world war occurred or not.
When the two superpower square off, then come back and we'll talk WWIII.

Umm, both possibly? And I agree with the guy ahead of me about Russia. My bet though, it will be either Eastern cultures vs Western cultures, or the old Soviet regimes against the west.
Either way, I agree with Einstein, that the 4th world war will be fought with bow and arrow or sticks and stones.

No kid, WW III was started on 9-11-01 when radical Muslims flew planes into the WTC and the Pentagon. After that, other Muslim clerics joined in and said they were going to take over the world and then the universe.

WW III will be started by Israel in retaliation against terrorist group which used a nuclear device built in Iran using Russian technology that's used to destroy a large part of Jerusalem. The United States will be powerless to stop it.

I dont think either, unless Iran does something really stupid. If there is a WW3, I wouldnt be surprised to see Russia play a part in starting it.
