The States control the lottery, I know the money gained from the lottery is supposed to be used to repair roads and for the schools.
But I wish there were better accountability with the lottery, because I will be willing to bet that a lot of the money is not going for its intended purpose.
A lot of roads across America are falling apart, and many public schools are in bad repair, so the lottery system should be audited to see where this money is actually going.

I find it interesting that the majority of people will probably spend much more money trying to win the lottery than they will ever win, however be overcome with a sense of victory when winning, even if they have spent $400 to win $100/
So you have a weekly draw, a conservative player buys one ticket per week at $1. That is $52 per years, spread that over 20 years and you have just thrown away $1000.

final I heard, many of the proceeds from the CO lottery pass to the park provider extremely than practise, yet that would have replaced. the two way, if I had the money to spend on the lottery, i'd basically make a donation to whichever reason is being funded via it.

lol you make interesting point, but in my opinion it just gives the possibility to win. Plenty of people have won the lottery, and a dollar a roll isn't a bad loss if you do lose. It gives people hope, and hope is always a good thing to possess. Plus a lot of the money they earn goes back to the people in differnt ways. It doesn't all go into the pockets of congressmen ;).

There's those two-time lotto winners that would be happy to tell you they have their accountants do the math for them.
