I'm just curious for feedback from Police, Security, or anyone who carries a handgun professionally.
I know many have a strong preference for Semi-Autos, but I'd like to know why.
I understand for combat you want semi-autos for the high capacitiy and rapid reload.
For me, in an environment where accuracy and reliability is most important, I prefer my Smith 66 .357.

I am in the DEP for USAF and I’ll have a 2 year old girl, and a 1 month old girl when I leave for basic. Are they going to be miserable and resent me when they get older?

I have been sworn in to the US Navy as a corpsman in the reserves. But now Im considering go full-time active status. I have spoken to my chief at my recruiting station and hadv avised me that I plan to change right now before I leave for bootcamp, my leave date may change after I go through MEPS again. And then He also said that I could wait to I come from A-school and apply then but I would have to go back to Chicago for another week. Is it possible?

The current Iraq War is now longer than WW2 and counting, tens of thousands of American Troops have been WIA, Wounded In Action, and almost 4000 have been KIA, Killed in Action, this is all after the Bush Administration declared Victor at Sea, disposed of the mighty dictator and drove America so far into the red that Socialism is beginning to look like a rose bush, bun intended.
So, NeoCon's, why would you want a second act? You have already hit the jackpot for unintended results, they are the one that are eating us up. Oh, and this Iraq War is not going to come out ok. We can't afford to buy everyone who hates us in Iraq! Unless maybe, you Neo Cons would like to raise taxes? Oh, maybe you could raise taxes on the poor, what do you think?

seriously, they want you to believe that doing so will hurt on troops. In fact with no additional funding any commanding officer will not put his troops in undue harm's way. meaning would the military really send our troops into battle with no ammo? of course not, so all this talk about being unabled to withhold funding is all BS from both parties, right?

Why do Americans let the religion of a candidate define the candidate?
Just because they're atheist, jew, mormon, catholic, whatever, doesn't mean that they are going to force that religion on us. We don't mind that politicians have low morals, commit adultery, etc., but we do mind what religion they are.
And depending on the religion, we immediately slap stereotypes on that candidate, often misconstrued or incorrect assumptions about that person or religion.
Am I the only one seeing something wrong with this picture?

I saw a few clips of Bill Maher on youtube, discussing the Armenian Genocide Resolution...
He made the coldest, snidest remarks about the resolution...
Like how its "irrelavent" because it was 92 years ago...

I'm pretty sure if Germany denied that the Jewish Holocaust ever took place, Bill Maher's stupid a** wouldn't be standing up there joking that..."stupid Congress wants to recognize the Jewish holocaust..that'll show the Nazis of WWII"(sarcasm)...

i live in florida.im going to be 18 in december and i was wondering how old do you have to be now to leave home without parents consent in florida? 18 or 21?
does anybody know.
i dont know if my parents are telling me this just so i dont leave home or is it really true. because as far as i know i could leave home without their permission at 18. is it still like that?
