okay, here me out. should we make voters take a test with questions such as "where does 'so and so' stand on immigration?" and "which candidates voted against authorizing the Iraq war?", etc.
this way you're only allowed to vote if you know what youre voting for and where candidates stand on the issues and have a general idea of their voting record, etc.
I think that would give much better election results because only educated votes would count instead of the vast amounts of "guess" votes that cause people like Bush and Cheney to be elected.

Think about it for a second before you answer. That's somebody's grand parent we're talking about here.
Have you ever seen an elderly person just barely peering over the steering wheel?

I'm not saying that they shouldn't be in a vehicle... I'm just saying DON"T let them drive because it's VERY unsafe. Unsafe for everyone else.
Has anyone checked the stats to find out how many drivers in America are over the age of 75???
I'd sure like to know...

Assuming you believe that they have, give solid facts to back up any clams you make.

Example: If you think the economy is terrific, prove that it is and then prove that the any policies of the president had something to do with it.

Example: If we are safer from terror, prove how and why with legitimate evidence. Remember, it's not like we had 9/11s every day before Bush.

So, I'd like strong evidence for anything you have to say. Be sure to include a source that is NOT a blog or talk show of some kind.

the expense - the cool to have an inmate executed is around $2.5 million dollars - 6 times the cost to keep that same person in prison for life. is it worth it?

Hello,
I have been accepted to USMA and enter in '08. I'm fairly certain they issue Dell laptops to each cadet, but I am thinking about buying a laptop for personal use before I go (I am not taking this one to USMA!) but if I get one now, I might as well buy one that I will have for the next few years.

Can anyone tell me the EXACT make and model of the laptops used by the cadets at West Point, and if they should be the same for the 2008/2009 school year.

Thank you very much!
-R.s

I've been reading and posting on politics for a few weeks now and I've been amused at the throwing around of the evil "they". They believe X. They don't think. They are worse than Hitler. Who is They? Is it your neighbor? Is it the parent of your child's best friend? A teacher? Your librarian? Your postal carrier? So much hate is wrapped up in this mysterious They.

Oddly enough, They also are the ones who tell us what's healthy, what's popular, what's unacceptable. Who are they?

i know a lot of people who hardly know anything about any of the candidates and are still planning on voting without researching the candidates 1st, or watching any debates. I know them all really well, but if i didn't, i wouldn't vote. I think its my responsibility (even though my vote doesnt really matter) that if im not convinced of who would be the best president, then i shouldnt just guess and risk causing some psycho to become president. dont you think that it would be better to not vote if you dont know anything about what youre voting for?

How much time do they actually spend together? Since 2000 when Hillary became a US senator she has spent most of her time in Washington, DC and Bill in Chappaqu, NY. When she announced her run for president, then I started seeing more of her and Bill together? Are Americans that forgetful or ignorant of the Clintons relationship?

illegal immigrants so much that we would begrudge them an oppurtunity to make amends and earn citizenship, or is it just a case of a loud minority that spews the hatred?

call me ignorant but i believe the majority want to find a way to allow illegals to earn their legal status and become productive citizens. NO AMNESTY, but amnesty does not have to mean deportation there are options. or maybe there aren't maybe i am just ignorant.

I was dating this guy and he was cheating on me with a girl i used to know. So i told her he was a cheater and showed her pictures to prove it. I told her that she better not kick him out (He was living with her... wow... sorry still in shock) until he has a place to stay and if she does she and i will have problems. She is 17 and i turned 18 November 2nd.
Her mother came over to my house today screaming at me, trying to get me to hit her. I have a 1 year old daughter and the chicks mom said, "I am going to bring this e-mail to the sherriffs office and start a DCF case against you. Hopefuly they will find you a fit mother after they see what kind of person you are."
Okay, first off, i am a very good person. I do everything i can for my friends and even people i dont know. I take good care of my daughter.
I want to file charges on her before she charges me. She came to my house and threghtend me. She stood on my pourch and screamed and got in my face and i didnt say anything back.

does she have a case? she was at work and was going over some of the printing jobs she was working on, and her supervisor took on a job that had pornographic material in it. He said he didnt know it was there and blew it off like it was nothing(hes gay) so it didnt bother him. She felt very uncomfortable but didnt want to say anything. After taking it higher the manager in charge apologized and said he would remove it so she couldnt see it. but there is a company policy saying that they will not print this type of material. The other supervisor is not being delt with and she still feels very uncomfortable about it all. So my question is, what should do?
