How much time do they actually spend together? Since 2000 when Hillary became a US senator she has spent most of her time in Washington, DC and Bill in Chappaqu, NY. When she announced her run for president, then I started seeing more of her and Bill together? Are Americans that forgetful or ignorant of the Clintons relationship?

The Clintons are hoping the American people are so naive that we will now believe that their lives together are perfect. They don't think we know that they are only putting on this show because Hillary needs Bill for votes from the stupid drooling women who are still in love with him. It's all about power and them wanting to get back in the White House.

I'm tired of people thinking they know more about the Clinton's marriage than they do themselves. None of us have the first clue about the private workings of their marriage. It's such an absurd type of arrogance.

If you could see through the veil of contempt you seem to have for them, you might be able to see an obvious affection between them that is impossible to fake. Just as when they were in so much trouble over the Lewinsky debacle, we could all feel the tension between them every time they were shown together on our televisions.

I suppose the conservatives would have liked it better if they had divorced and supplied them with endless new smear material about the details. But then they do have Giuliani to fill that need don't they? So they find a way to pick apart a couple who actually SAVED their marriage - now that's a pretty strange tactic to take for a group that so values old fashioned traditions isn't it?

EDIT: Just to clarify, I wasn't calling you a conservative, I have no idea what your political base is. They are just usually the ones to carry on about this more than anyone else.

to respond to your question, No. Do you keep in mind some years in the past while that guy named Dean ran for president. He replaced into the front runner of the Democratic occasion for only approximately a year. He lost the 1st universal and all and sundry theory that it replaced right into a fluke. Then he lost the 2nd and 0.33, and so on. The media had him picked through fact the subsequent president through fact of his polls, yet they did no longer pan out interior the balloting sales area. the ingredient is, do no longer complication concerning the polls from the media, complication concerning the balloting outcomes.

I cannot think of one marriage of the candidates running for Pres. that looks like a "match made in heaven", except for the Edwards' relationship.

There are many ways that men and women can love each other. Some marriages have a deep level of intimacy and "soul-matedness" that we see in the movies, but most do not. That's the case with all the presidential candidates too.

That doesn't mean the partners aren't happy. It doesn't mean they don't love or respect each other. It doesn't mean they made a mistake marrying each other.

It just means that a great marriage based on two people in love who grow closer together through the years and deal with all the baggage from their childhoods, plus work problems, plus health problems, plus temptation, plus kid and money problems, and STILL, in spite of all the odds against them, manage to grow closer together over the years and not let the trials part them, is a very rare thing to see.

It's rare to see in society and is also rare to see in presidents.

I don't think Americans are any more ignorant of the Clinton's relationship than they are of any of the other marriages they observe in everyday life. They probably rightly figure it's none of their business if it doesn't affect the candidate's ability to run the nation.

Another "match made in heaven" political couple, IMO---The Gores.

I don't think most people who actually care are that forget full or ignorant. The thing is Bill Clinton, no matter what you may think of him, is a terrific politician and is known for his campaigning skills. He is using this knowledge and ability to campaign for Hillary and himself I would imagine. I don't think she would have much of a chance without him. It is sad though, that politicians can be so fake just to win votes and attain an office.

Perhaps they are--they've been married for a long time. In any case, you don't know how good their marriage is, because you weren't there and you don't know them.

A lot of marriages grow stronger after a big crisis--you don't know, and you are either not old enough or mature enough to make the assumption that they are not what they appear to be.

The Clinton's are hoping that most Americans have already forgotten. It is all plot to try and get her elected. Hopefully the American public will see right through the slickness and not put them back into the white house.

At least most Democrat primary voters are that forgetful and ignorant, yes. Their relatinoship is a political power arranagement, although once upon a time, there of course may have been something else there, especially on Hillary's part. See Dick Morris' books on them.

I do not understand why if she is such a smart strong woman why she has put up with his philandering for years. I think she might be book smart and politic savey but she has no self esteem when it comes to getting caught in lies and such.
I don't think she knows what a cheat and liar is.
