One person asked how many democrats I know. I come from a republican county, but for the last 25 years I have lived in a democratic county so a lot and I don't hear a lot who like Hillary so I also wonder where she gets all her support in the polls. I would think they would want someone who could beat the republicans. They are a shoe-in if they elect the right candidate in the primaries. I also don't get where they think being first lady equals experience to be a president!!!

Hillary is a rock star. Everybody knows her, and she can generate lots and lots of money. She has very high positives and very high negatives. The fact that she isn't an unknown is a huge advantage in a very crowded field like this.

Admittedly, there are a number of people who can't wait to put on their raincoats to vote against her for a variety of reasons. In a normal year, that would be a big problem. However, the lack of popularity of the Bush Administration might change things around. A generic Democratic should have a big advantage in 2008, pending a turnaround in Iraq.

That said, Rudy Guliani would give Hillary all she could handle in a general election. He might be the only Republican that could, but I don't see anyone else who could beat her.

Here (on the Iowa-Illinois boarder) I just saw a report about Hillary's rating in the national polls as opposed to that of the Iowa polls. And in Iowa, the race is projected to be between Obama &. Edwards. She is in 3rd.

And you know what they saw about Iowa.... (give me a break)

We must know a drastically different sort of Democrat. Most of them that I know support her completely. Some prefer Obama, the more liberal of them that I know. But even they grudgingly admit if she receives the nomination they will support her and vote for her rather than vote for any Republican. Could be the part of the country we're each in .

She might be leading in polls right now, but that doesn't always translate to winning in the primaries.

Anyone who votes for someone, Democrat or Republican, just because they are in their political party, and does not look at the qualifications or character of the candidates, is Stupid.

Democrats need to nominate someone other than the most polarizing figure in American politics if they want to keep a Republican out of the White House.
