Well ok, heres the deal.

When you put any overseas base on your dream sheet.

You are volunteering for ANY overseas duty assignments, anywhere!!!!!

Not just the bases you put on your dream sheet.

Another point, do you even know if your AFSC is at any of the bases listed ?

On my first dream sheet, none of the five bases I listed, had my AFSC.....what a waste.

It didn't matter anyway, i only had two base choices anyway for my first duty assignment.

They call it a dream sheet, because your dreamin, if you think they are going to send you to any of those bases.

The best state side AFB is Eglin AFB in Florida, that is if you like hot weather and white sand beachs.

Japan is great if you're trying to leave the country Misowa, is pretty much a rat-hole but if you enjoy exploring most of Japan is extraordinary.
Contrary to popular belief leaving spaces balnk won't do anything.

It's simple supply and demand, they'll start with the top on your list, if you're job is available there, that's where you'll go, if not they'll move right on down the list. Leaving spaces blank only limits your options.

Also, good luck getting any of your top three. I think you'd have a better chance if you put Jupitor as one of your choices

How about Christchurch New Zealand if possible. The base is located at the Airport and is the primary base for launching missions to Antartica. Also the South Island of NZ is very beautiful with many exciting ways to spend your leave. I would if the option was there consider this base, you will not regret it.

Actually as crazy as it sounds, if you are single, I heard Korea (Osan AB or Kunsan AB) are great places to be... I can tell you what base to NOT to put down and that is Charleston AFB. Any AETC (Air Education and Training Command) bases suck too... OH and Kadena AB is pretty awesome too (Okinawa, Japan)

It's apparent you want to leave the US, haha. If you're into space and all that, I think that the 45th Space Wing in Patrick AFB (Daytona, FL) would be interesting...

The AF graciously chose for me....you are smart to put both stateside and overseas on yours....my entire tech school class (about 80) went overseas...I didn't have any overseas on my dream sheet and that's part of the reason I went to Iceland (don't worry, its closed now).

Take your test for TACP or SERE. Then your bases are pretty much limitless.
